Once you fill out the online form, you will be contacted via email by our audition coordinator. If you do not have access to Internet or email, you may call 615-541-8200 to schedule an appointment. Please only call if you DO NOT have access to Internet or email. Equity and Non Equity performers are welcome to make an appointment, though Equity members will be given priority. Equity members without appointments will be seen throughout each audition day, as time permits. Non-equity actors without appointments will be seen when no Equity Member is auditioning or waiting. AT THIS TIME, WE ARE NOT CASTING CHILD ROLES. NON-AEA ACTORS MUST BE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS OR OLDER TO AUDITION. Your audition package should total no more than 3 minutes of prepared material. This audition can include any of the following options: 1) 32 bars of a song 2) One 2 minute monologue 3) 16 bars of a song AND a 1 minute monologue
PLEASE NOTE: Scenes and songs from this year’s productions will be available on our website by March 19 as an alternative to using your own material. If this is your first time auditioning with us, we encourage you to audition with your own material. If singing, bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided (all days), but will not transpose. Please do not sing A Cappella. A reader is provided to read sides. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, and bring a full size headshot & resume, stapled back-to-back. We will not be able to print material for you on site. Callbacks will be held as needed, currently scheduled for April 6 & 7, with an invited dance callback on March 31. You will be notified via email if you are needed at callbacks. Beast ● Male, 21-45 ● Age to be played: 30-40 ● A prince transformed into a beast because of his lack of compassion towards others. Hot-tempered, commanding but has a warm, loving heart on the inside. ● Vocal Range: F4 to A2 ● All ethnicities Gaston ● Male, 21-45 ● Age to be played: 30-40 ● An egotistical, masculine villain whose main goal is to marry Belle. Manipulative yet charming. ● Vocal range: E4 to A2 ● All ethnicities Maurice ● Male, 35-70 ● Age to be played: 55-65 ● Belle’s father. A child at heart who is fun-loving and eccentric. He is an inventor in his own world. ● Vocal range: Db4 to Bb2 ● All ethnicities Cogsworth ● Male, 30-65 ● Age to be played: 40-55 ● An enchanted mantle clock who is uptight, strict and punctual. Lefou ● Male, 18-45 ● Age to be played: 25-35 ● Gaston’s sidekick. He is loyal, energetic and optimistic but not the smartest guy in the room. ● Vocal range: F#4 to B2 ● All ethnicities Monsieur D’arque ● Male, 18-65 ● Age to be played: 35-55 ● The proprietor of the local insane asylum.
