We are pleased to work in partnership with The Bulwell Academy to promote
                                             the value of apprenticeships.
The sorts of apprenticeships we recruit vary from year to year, but we are
often looking for administrators and for trades - such as plumbers and
                                             electricians.
We work in partnership with Nottingham City Council and we support their
approach to recruitment for entry-level jobs. “Local Jobs for Local People”

the city. This means that, to be eligible to apply for an apprenticeship, you

2019 Jobs & Careers Fair - Wednesday 27 February 2019 4.15 - 6.30pm in the Restaurant - The Bulwell Academy
The National Citizenship Service (NCS) gives young people aged 16-19 the
chance to take part in a four-week programme (including a one-week
residential placement) to develop their skills and employability.
NCS can help fast track your future by learning new skills for work and life
and it will look great on your CV because it helps teach the skills employers
say they are increasingly looking for in candidates: confidence, teamwork and
                                             leadership skills.
NCS gives you a framework to show off and talk about your skills and
experiences in interviews. What's more, NCS is recognised by UCAS and will
help you deliver a killer personal statement.

www.ncsyes.co.uk NCS is an inclusive programme for all young people. There’s nobody that it
isn’t right for and we’re yet to meet someone who hasn’t had the time of their
lives and met their greatest mates – no matter how shy you may be.

Apprenticeships provide routes into a variety of careers in the NHS and
are an excellent opportunity to earn, gain work experience and achieve
nationally recognised qualifications at the same time. Apprenticeships are
offered by individual NHS employers (such as trusts) as well as other non-
NHS employers and organisations in many different areas of work. Examples
of apprenticeships that are relevant to the NHS: Business administration and
stepintothenhs.nhs.uk human resources, Health and social care, IT, Construction/estates services,
Electrical and engineering, Financial services and many more.

If you want to make a positive difference to people's lives, and you want
the rewards to match, a career as a police officer could be just the job
                                             for you.
Work experience placements for over-14s are run twice a year, and offer the
opportunity to gain an insight into everyday life within the police family.
Hopefully some young people will then enter the policing family in some
capacity by becoming a cadet, volunteer, special constable or regular officer.
You can apply to become a volunteer police cadet from the age of 13.

The Army has the largest apprenticeship programme in the country, with
about 95 per cent of new soldiers taking part and over 8,000 completing their
apprenticeship training each year. Army apprenticeships are part of a
nationally recognised scheme, giving soldiers the chance to work for an
employer at the same time as studying for a relevant, work-based
                                             qualification.

popular universities – over 28,000 students study across four campuses.
