  As Australia’s most culturally diverse state,
  Victoria has a rich multicultural story
  which speaks to the vibrancy of its diverse
  communities. Multiculturalism enriches the
  state’s social fabric for Victorians from all
  walks of life and that’s something to celebrate.

  Each year, the Victorian Multicultural Commission
  is tasked with one of the best jobs in the state:
  promoting our state’s multicultural success story

                                        Victoria is Australia’s most culturally
                                        diverse state, and one of the most
                                        multicultural regions in the world. Every
                                        year in March, Victorians of all cultural
                                        backgrounds, faiths, ages and walks of
                                        life come together at events held all over
                                        the state for Cultural Diversity Week.

                                        Cultural Diversity Week is Victoria’s biggest
                                        and brightest celebration of multiculturalism,
                                        showcasing the vibrant sights, sounds and

                                        In its 17th year, Cultural Diversity Week will run
                                        from 16 to 24 March 2019. The week coincides
                                        with the United Nations’ International Day
                                        for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination,
                                        which is held annually on 21 March.

                                        and local councils all around the state.
