                                      Pre-Camp Instructions
   • Read the Class descriptions listed below. Be sure to read the descriptions thoroughly prior to making
class selections, to determine your own physical abilities. Classes are rated according to their difficulty,
and several have very limited class size.
   • Choose your classes! Select and prioritize the class choices you would like to attend per class section,
ranking from 1 to 5, from most desired to least desired. **Only rank classes you are willing to take in
order to ensure enrollment into the workshop and read each class description completely** The
organizing committee will do its best to ensure that as many participants as possible are enrolled in
their top two choice per section.
   • How do I choose my classes? BOW will send out a google form for everyone to fill out with your class
options. Class choosing will occur starting mid March.
   • Read the packing list. Depending on which classes you want to take, you may need to pack some
specific items of clothing. If you have any difficulty finding certain items of clothing to help make you
comfortable in class, please reach our to the coordinators. We will see how we can help!

    • Finally: Start organizing that garage! WHY?! Because every year across the nation at the BOW Multi-
course, participants work together to assemble an awesome silent auction of gear and goods. This
auction-which is in addition to our raffle, helps benefit BOW by contributing to our scholarship
program. Last year the scholarship sponsored 3 Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology students from
UC Davis. This silent auction is an opportunity to swap and switch items of gear that are in good
condition, but maybe don’t fit anymore or you have too many of. Another great option: Homemade
items! Last year there was a heated battle over a handmade lumbar pillow with an embroidered wood
duck on it. The point is, it’s fun, and helps others, and helps you get rid of your extra gear. We
encourage you to get creative and not to feel obligated to spend a bunch of money.
