DUBAI
Dubai, capital of the emirate of Dubai, one of the wealthiest of the seven emirates that constitute the federation of the United Arab Emirates, which
was created in 1971 following independence from Great Britain. Dubai is a destination that mixes modern culture with history, adventure with world-
class shopping and entertainment. The city has become iconic for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular the world’s tallest building,
the Burj Khalifa.
City is also well connected by roads, Dubai bus service, that covers 87% of the urban area, Dubai Tram, Dubai metro, a modern and fully auto-
mated rail system, Dubai Taxi vehicles are operated around the clock 7 days a week including public and religious holidays. In addition to Dubai’s
renowned infrastructure, facilities and offerings, associations and events receive wide support from the city to support business events, including
access to worldwide networks of experts.
With a growing reputation as a knowledge hub, Dubai allows international events to tap into the recognized institutions and associations that have
made a home here — from the medical sector to the space industry. Dubai hosts many successful events every year, growing its reputation as a
world class destination.
Climate in Dubai is a year-round hot climate. Humidity is high in the summer months and moderate the rest of the year. The coldest winter month
is usually January, with lows of about 15 °C (49 °F), while the hottest summer month is July, with highs of more than 40 °C (104 °F).

Dubai’s Public Transport consists of buses, water buses, monorail system, tram, and the Dubai metro. The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is
the operator of the entire public transportation network. The Dubai metro is considered to be one of the most modern and cost-effective public
transportation systems in the world. It consists of two lines: the Green line (20 stops that spans from the Etisalat region to Dubai Creek) and the
Red line (28 stops that spans between Al Rashidiya and UAE Exchange).
