The City of Mandurah (City) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced
businesses or Organisations for the Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of Routers and
Firewalls.
The City of Mandurah operates a wide IP network across the majority of its buildings and
facilities spanning the Mandurah geographical area to provide network access for a variety
of services including corporate, DMZ, public, CCTV, VOIP and IPTV connectivity to internal
and external services.
The City of Mandurah's mostly Cisco-centric network estate consists of approximately 26
physical sites with 40 logical locations with most of the equipment due for lifecycle
replacement and not covered by vendor maintenance. The estate also includes Ubiquiti P2P
radio services, as well as Meraki VPN and Wi-Fi solutions. The logical network design
across the estate utilises legacy routing protocols, primarily RIP along with static routes.
The City of Mandurah is looking to refresh the perimeter firewalls and the entire routing
estate to modernise the network with vendor support and technology. The City of Mandurah
also wishes to create a secondary datacentre in an active/active configuration for routing IP
traffic between the internal and external networks.

of a, detailed design and documentation including drawings and specifications for the construction of a number of
floating jetties and the demolition and refurbishment of existing fixed timber jetties associated with the City of

starting point, and in consultation with the City undertaking a review of the conceptual design (such review is

A brief description of the Goods and Services required:
The City of Mandurah (City) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced
businesses or Organisations for the design and construction of the Waterfront Projects, Mandurah
Estuary Pool Floating Jetty.
The Works will involve the design and construction of a Floating Jetty within the Mandurah Estuary
Floating Pool project. The intent of the Floating Jetty is to provide a stable walkway and barrier to
enclose the pool area.
The work is proposed to be completed under a Design & Construct Contract. The design
requirements and details of the Works are outlined in this document. Work to be executed under the
Contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Preliminary and Final Design and Documentation including design calculations, drawings;
specifications and reporting for all components of the Floating Jetty;
• Preparation and implementation of appropriate Management and Quality Plans;
• Approvals, Licences and Certification;
• Piling works including supply, installation and testing of piles;
• Supply and installation of the Floating Structure;
• Supply and installation of the Gangway structures;
• Supply and installation of safety ladders, handrailing, box kerb rails and other fixtures;

The City of Mandurah (City) is a local government area of Western Australia, covering both
Mandurah proper and an additional area reaching down as far south as Lake Clifton. The
City has a total area of approximately 174 square kilometres. The waters of the Peel Inlet
and Harvey Estuary (one of Australia's larger inlet systems) form the centre of Mandurah.
The estuary is approximately twice the size of Sydney Harbour. The City lies in and around
this estuarine system which in turn feeds into the Indian Ocean. The City and its suburbs
have many kilometres of ocean coastline most of which is sandy beaches.
Due to differing site requirements and specific skills and qualifications required for the work
under this Contract, hire rates are being requested for the provision of earthmoving
machinery and skilled operators in three (3) categories for coastal and estuarine works,
which will be carried out within the boundaries of the City.
