• SCHEDULES WILL BE PUBLISHED IN DASH NO LATER THAN MONDAY, FEB 22ND FOR PRE-K LEAGUES
• PARTICIPATION TROPHIES FOR EVERYONE!
• INDOOR GAMES WILL BE LOCATED ON THE ARENAS AT PSA MCKINNEY, PSA MURPHY, AND PSA 1
• OUTDOOR GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT PRESTON MEADOW PARK (4243 LORIMAR DR, PLANO, TX – 1 MILE S. OF PSA1)

• REGISTRATION CLOSES TODAY, FEBRUARY 15TH
• COACHES TOOLS FOR SUBMITTING CONFLICTS CLOSE TOMORROW @5PM (MORE INFO LATER IN PRESENTATION)
• ALL COACHES MUST HAVE A CURRENT CLEARED BACKGROUND CHECK
     •   COMPLETE THE COACHES APPLICATION, RECEIVE APPROVAL EMAIL, MAKE APPOINTMENT TO GET BADGE OR REQUEST IT TO BE MAILED
     • ALL COACHES MUST HAVE A VALID COACHING BADGE AT THE FIELD – NO EXCEPTIONS
• YOUR TEAM SHOULD BE PAID IN FULL

GAME DAY REMINDERS
• COACHES MUST BE PRESENT WITH BADGE VISIBLY DISPLAYED
• PROVIDE COMPLETE ROSTER INCLUDING PLAYER NAMES AND NUMBERS. PLAYER MUST BE LISTED ON
  THE DASH ROSTER (OUTDOOR ONLY)
• GAMES WILL BEGIN ON TIME – NO WARM-UP TIME IS ALLOCATED BETWEEN GAMES
• REFEREES ARE PROVIDED FOR ALL LEAGUES (NEW!)
• GAME BALL IS PROVIDED BY HOME TEAM (OUTDOOR)
• BALLS SHOULD BE PROPERLY INFLATED AND CLEANED
• PLAYERS MUST BE OFF THE PLAYING FIELD BEFORE SUBSTITUTES CAN ENTER PLAY. ENTER AT MIDFIELD.
• UP TO 3 BADGED COACHES ARE ALLOWED ON THE SIDELINES
• COACHES, PARENTS AND PLAYERS FROM ONE TEAM WILL BE ON ONE SIDE OF THE FIELD AND THE
  COACHES, PARENTS AND PLAYERS FROM THE OTHER TEAM WILL BE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF FIELD

ROSTER RULES

• FOR OUTDOOR GAMES, BOTH TEAMS MUST PROVIDE ROSTERS COMPLETE WITH ALL PLAYER
  NAMES AND JERSEY NUMBERS. ROSTER FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE PSA SOCCER HOME
  PAGE UNDER “COACHES CORNER” ON THE RIGHT SIDE
   • ROSTERS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE REFEREE PRIOR TO THE START OF THE GAME AND WILL BE
     RETURNED BACK TO THE COACH(ES) AFTER THE GAME
• INDOOR GAMES – ROSTERS WILL BE PROVIDED AT SCORE TABLES
• ILLEGAL PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED OR TOLERATED
   • COACHES MAY REQUEST A ROSTER CHECK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME OR AT HALFTIME
• SHOULD A COACH BE FOUND GUILTY OF FIELDING AN ILLEGAL PLAYER, HE/SHE WILL BE ASKED
  TO MEET WITH THE SOCCER BOARD TO DETERMINE CONSEQUENCES FOR THE REMAINDER OF
  THE SEASON.
PSA OUTDOOR SPORTS PROTOCOL
          REQUIREMENTS (CLICK HERE FOR FULL DOCUMENT)
FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON PAVED SURFACE AREAS THE PARKS AND FIELDS BY EVERYONE.
SOCIAL DISTANCE IN THESE AREAS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MASKS
• FACE MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED IF AN ATTENDEE HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION OR IS LESS THAN 10 YEARS OF AGE.
• FACE MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BY PLAYERS, COACHES, AND GAME OFFICIALS WHEN ON THE GRASS SUCH AS THE FIELD OF
  PLAY, WARM-UP AREAS, AND BENCHES.

SOCIAL DISTANCE OF 6 FEET MUST BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT ON THE FIELD OF PLAY.
• PAVED AREAS INCLUDE: BLEACHERS FOR SPECTATORS, PARKING LOTS, WALKWAYS, RESTROOMS, CONCESSION AREAS,
  ENTRY/EXITS, AND PLAZAS.
• THIS PROTOCOL APPLIES TO ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, PARENTS, SPECTATORS, GAME OFFICIALS, AND PARK ATTENDEES AND
  APPLIES TO ALL PSA YOUTH OUTDOOR SPORTS PROGRAMS INCLUDING SOCCER, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, FOOTBALL,
  CHEERLEADING. FACILITIES INCLUDE CITY OF PLANO VENUES, CITY OF MURPHY VENUES, AND PSA MCKINNEY.
PSA OUTDOOR SPORTS PROTOCOL
                             REQUIREMENTS
• PROGRAMING AND ACTIVITIES WILL BE MONITORED. NON-COMPLIANCE COULD RESULT IN A SERIES OF PENALTIES AND
  SANCTIONS. YOUR COOPERATION IS ESSENTIAL TO PROMOTE SAFETY TO ALL PARTICIPANTS INVOLVED WITH PSA PROGRAMS.
  IF ANYONE IS UNCOMFORTABLE OR UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH THE SAFETY PROTOCOL REQUIREMENTS, THEN WE REQUEST FOR
  YOU TO NOT ATTEND THE PROGRAMS OR EVENTS.

• PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO WEAR FACE MASKS AS DEFINED OR PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE AS FOLLOWS:
    • STEP ONE: WARNING TO THE TEAM COACH
    • STEP TWO: SECOND WARNING TO THE TEAM COACH AND POSSIBLE REMOVAL FROM THE GAME IN PROGRESS OR THE NEXT GAME.
    • STEP THREE: SUSPENSION OF THE TEAM COACH

• PENALTIES FOR PERSON NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE TEAMS SUCH AS GAME OFFICIALS, ADMINISTRATORS, GENERAL

OFFICIALS AND PLAYERS MAY REMOVE THEIR MASK ONCE THEY ARRIVE TO THEIR COURT OR ARENA
FOR GAMES, 1 SPECTATOR (MUST BE 16 OR OLDER) PER PLAYER ALLOWED AND NO SIBLINGS
6 FEET DISTANCING BETWEEN SPECTATORS. THERE WILL BE AN “X” ON THE BLEACHERS IN THE STANDS FOR SOCCER TO HELP WITH
SPACING
ALL COACHES, ASSISTANT COACHES, TEAM MANAGERS MUST HAVE A CURRENT PSA COACHING BADGE OR THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
COACH
ONLY 1 COACH OR TEAM MANAGER IS ALLOWED ON FIELD/TURF WITH THE TEAM PLAYERS
USE SOCIAL DISTANCING DURING PRE-GAME MEETING WITH REFEREE (IF APPLICABLE)
PLAYERS ON THE SIDELINES (OUTSIDE THE BLUE TUBES) ARE TO DISTANCE THEMSELVES 6 FEET APART
PARENTS ARE TO NOTIFY COACH OR MANAGER IMMEDIATELY IF THEIR CHILD BECOMES ILL FOR ANY REASON

PSA WILL PROVIDE GAME BALLS WHICH WILL BE DISINFECTED AND SANITIZED AFTER/BEFORE EACH GAME.
WATER BOTTLES ARE TO BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE CHILD’S NAME
PLAYER BELONGINGS ARE TO STAY SEPARATE
NO HANDSHAKING, HUGS, HIGH FIVES, FIST BUMPS DURING PRACTICES OR GAMES
WHEN GAMES HAVE FINISHED, PLEASE EXIT THE ARENA QUICKLY THROUGH THE DESIGNATED DOOR SO THE NEXT GAME

• COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES TO PLAYERS - THE COACH MUST NEVER PLACE THE VALUE OF WINNING OVER THE SAFETY AND
  WELFARE OF PLAYERS. WINNING SHOULD BE THE RESULT OF PREPARATION AND DISCIPLINE WITH EMPHASIS PLACED ON THE
  HIGHEST IDEALS AND CHARACTER TRAITS. AT NO TIME WILL A COACH OR VOLUNTEER DEMEAN, DEGRADE OR HUMILIATE ANY
  PLAYER, PARENT, SPECTATOR, OFFICIAL, TEAM OR OTHER COACH OR VOLUNTEER ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA FORUM.
• COACHES RESPONSIBILITY TO OFFICIALS (REFEREES) OFFICIALS MUST HAVE THE SUPPORT OF COACHES, PLAYERS AND
  SPECTATORS. CRITICISM OF OFFICIALS UNDERMINES THEIR PURPOSE IN THE GAME. COACHES MUST ALWAYS REFRAIN FROM
  CRITICIZING OFFICIALS IN THE PRESENCE OF PLAYERS, PARENTS, AND SPECTATORS.
• COACHES GAME DAY AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES A COACH’S BEHAVIOR MUST BE SUCH AS TO BRING CREDIT TO
  THEMSELVES, HIS ORGANIZATION (TEAM), AND THE SPORT. COACHES SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PARENT AND SPECTATORS
  CONDUCT. COACHES SHOULD USE THEIR POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON PARENTS AND SPECTATORS.
• COACHES ARE RESPONSIBILE TO KNOW AND PROMOTE THE RULES OF THE GAME

  COACHES OR OFFICIALS.

• RELIEVE THE PRESSURE OF COMPETITION BY HELPING PLAYERS ENJOY PRACTICES AND GAMES. PLAYERS FEEL ENOUGH PRESSURE ON THEIR
  OWN.

AFTER THE SEASON SCHEDULE HAS BEEN
RELEASED:
• GAME SCHEDULE CHANGES CAN BE MADE
  THROUGH THE GAME SWAP PROCEDURE
• ONCE THE SEASON GAME SCHEDULE IS
  PUBLISHED, GAME SWAP REQUESTS SHOULD BE
  LIMITED TO THOSE SITUATIONS WHERE A TEAM
  IS UNABLE TO FIELD THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF
  PLAYERS AND WOULD OTHERWISE BE FORCED
  TO FORFEIT. IN ALL OTHER CASES, THE GAMES
  SHOULD BE PLAYED AS PUBLISHED

• ALL PRE-K LEAGUES WILL HAVE 1 REFEREE ON FIELD/TURF
• ONE COACH PER TEAM IS ALLOWED ON FIELD/TURF IF DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED
• THE PURPOSE OF THE REFEREE IS TO KEEP THE GAME SAFE, FAIR, AND MOVING ALONG. COACHES SHOULD
  ENCOURAGE PLAYERS TO STAY ON THEIR FEET AND TO KEEP THEIR HANDS TO THEIR SIDE. PLEASE TRY TO
  ENCOURAGE YOUR PLAYERS TO ENGAGE IN THE GAME - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO STAND IN FRONT OF THE
  GOAL TO STOP OTHERS FROM SHOOTING. THEY CERTAINLY CAN PLAY DEFENSE, BUT YOU SHOULD TEACH THEM
  THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DEFENDER AND A GOALIE. THE REFEREE WILL BLOW THEIR WHISTLE IF THEY SEE:

         •   A HAND BALL
         •   PUSHING FROM BEHIND/SIDE/FRONT
         •   STRONG BODY CONTACT
         •   BALL GETS STUCK IN THE CORNERS OF THE “TUBE” (INDOOR ONLY)
         •   SLIDING IS NOT ALLOWED
• PLEASE KEEP IN MIND OUR NEWEST AND YOUNGEST REFEREES WILL BE PLACED AT THE PRE-K GAME LEVEL
• PLEASE MAKE THEIR EXPERIENCE A POSITIVE ONE SO WE DO NOT LOSE REFEREES EACH SEASON. THEY ARE YOUNG
  TEENAGERS - YOU ARE THE ADULTS. SET A GOOD EXAMPLE.
• USE THE REFEREE EVALUATION FORM AS A FEEDBACK AND IMPROVEMENT TOOL TO HELP THESE YOUNG REFS

WEATHER POLICY AND COMMUNICATION
• CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS ARE COMMUNICATED THROUGH THE “CANCELLATIONS” TAB
  LOCATED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF THE PSA WEBSITE (WWW.PSAPLANO.ORG)
• ALL STAFF, PARENTS, COACHES, AND OFFICIALS MUST USE MY LIGHTNING TRACKER APP (6-MILE RADIUS)
• AT THE FIELD, THE REFEREE HAS THE FINAL SAY ON SAFE PLAYING CONDITIONS
• SIGNIFICANT STANDING WATER ON A FIELD WILL GENERALLY RESULT IN GAME POSTPONEMENT
• WE TRY TO RESCHEDULE GAMES WITHIN 7-12 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF CANCELLATION/RAINOUT

Texas Thunder Soccer Club is PSA’s home grown
soccer club!
Texas Thunder SC was established 6 years ago to
allow PSA Recreational soccer players to have a
smooth transition to the next level of competitive
soccer within PSA.
Texas Thunder SC has a well experienced staff, lots
of great coaches, and your child will be provided
the opportunity to develop his/her soccer skills in a
quicker, more competitive environment!

PRE-K UNIFORM PROCESS
• UNIFORMS (TEAM T-SHIRTS) ARE PROVIDED AS PART OF THE $75 REGISTRATION FEE SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO
  PURCHASE A JERSEY FOR YOUR TEAM.
• IF YOU PREFER A CUSTOM-MADE UNIFORM, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL COST AND THE PROVIDED TEAM T-
  SHIRTS CAN BE USED AS A PRACTICE SHIRT.
• EACH SHIRT WILL HAVE A PSA SOCCER DESIGN/LOGO ON THE FRONT WITH NUMBER 1-10 ON THE BACK.
• THE COACH OR TEAM MANAGER OF YOUR TEAM WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE UNIFORMS (TEAM T-
  SHIRTS).
• SHIN GUARDS, SOCKS OR SHORTS ARE NOT PROVIDED BY PSA.
• ON WEDNESDAY 2/17 (LATE) AN EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO THE COACHES INDICATING THE DIVISION IN WHICH THEIR
  TEAM IS PLAYING AND TO CONTACT THE PSA UNIFORM SHOP REGARDING THE UNIFORM (TEAM T-SHIRT) COLOR
  THEY WOULD LIKE TO CHOOSE FOR THEIR TEAM. THE PSA SHOP CAN BE REACHED BY EMAIL ONLY AT

• THERE WILL BE A PRE-DETERMINED OPTION OF COLORS FOR EACH DIVISION AND CHOICES WILL BE FIRST COME

• ALL TEAMS WILL RECEIVE A YOUTH SIZE SMALL SHIRT.
