There will be no refunds or exchanges unless noted. Heathwood Hall Episcopal School shall not be liable for natural disasters or acts of God. While every reasonable effort has been made to describe these items correctly, all items and services are sold “where is” and “as is.” Auction items are not being sold by the donors; purchasers should not ask for refunds or exchanges. Heathwood Hall Episcopal School is exempt from income taxation under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). As such, the school is required in connection with the solicitation or receipt of quid pro quo contributions in excess of $250 to provide a written statement that: 1. Informs the donor (purchaser) that the amount of the contribution that is deductible for income tax purposes is limited to the excess of the amount of any money, and the value of any property other than money, contributed by the donor (purchaser) over the value of the goods or services provided by the organization to the donor, and 2. Provides the donor (purchaser) with a good-faith estimate of the value of goods or services furnished to the donor (purchaser) by the organization. Quid pro quo contributions are payments made partly as a contribution and partly in consideration for goods and services furnished to the donor (purchaser.) Gifts to the school may be fully, partially or non-deductible by the donor (purchaser) for income tax purposes depending upon the particular facts and circumstances. For more specific information about the current tax regulations, the donor (purchaser) should contact a professional financial planner or tax consultant. Because the auction catalog is published prior to the receipt of many items donated to our auction, the Heathwood Hall Episcopal School Auction Team reserves the right to adjust descriptions and minimum bids as necessary. Please refer to GiveSmart for the most up-to-date item descriptions and bidding information. Silent Auction Bidding with GiveSmart: Use your smart phone to place bids by texting the auction item number and the amount of your bid or by clicking the blue link in your welcome message and shopping on your personal bidding page. To see the current bid on an item via text, reply to your welcome text and simply text the item number. Example: “102” then press send. Then text the item number and amount you would like to bid. No dollar signs ($) needed. Example: “102 300” then press send. You placed a $300 bid on item number 102. No need to “babysit” your favorite items; you will receive texts updating you on the status of your bids. Silent Auction bidding will close at 10:00 P.M. Silent Auction Checkout: When the Silent Auction closes, the highest bidder for each item will be considered the purchaser of the item. Winning bidders have two options for payment: 1. Use your smart device to pay with the credit card number you registered with GiveSmart or 2. Enter another card number. Winning bidders may pick up their items in the Heathwood Hall Development Office the week following the auction. Live Auction: Begins at 6:30 P.M. and closes at 8:00 P.M. All bids will be placed similar to the silent auction items through GiveSmart. All sales are final and must be paid in full the evening of the auction. Winning bidders have two options for payment: 1. Use your smart device to pay with the credit card number you registered with GiveSmart or 2. Enter another card number. Silent and Live Auction items are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the donors. All services must be used within the time limits specifically stated or within one year of the Auction. 19

Tickets can be purchased until the time of the drawing. Winning tickets will be drawn and announced Monday morning, March 22, 2021. You do not need to be present to win and there are no limitations or eligibility exclusions for purchasing tickets. Friends and family are welcome to purchase tickets on behalf of a student. Lights, Camera, Auction...Take Two | 37th ANNUAL AUCTION Tuition Raffle MOBILE BIDDING ITEMS #011, #012, #013 Purchase tickets for your chance to win a $10,000 tuition credit for the 2021-2022 school year! Tickets can be purchased until the time of the drawing. The drawing will take place and winner will be announced Monday morning, March 22, 2021. You do not need to be present to win and there are no limitations or eligibility exclusions for purchasing tickets. Friends and family can purchase tickets on behalf of a student. The total value of this prize is $10,000, consisting of a tuition credit for $7,600 and associated taxes of $2,400. Tuition credit is not redeemable for cash, and will be applied only to 2021-2022 tuition. As required by law, 24% federal tax withholdings will be deducted from the winning prize and will be forwarded to the IRS on the winner's behalf. Actual taxes owed may be more or less than 24%, depending on the winner's tax bracket. No withholdings will be made for state of South Carolina taxes or other local taxes. Winner should consult their tax advisor to determine if taxes are owed to taxing authorities other than the IRS. The Heathwood Hall Business Office will contact the winner within three weeks of the date of the auction. The winner will need to provide two acceptable forms of ID and sign the Form W-2G that is forwarded to the IRS. The winner will receive a Form W-2G to file with their 2021 tax return by January 31, 2022. 21

In that time, more than $250,000 has been raised for projects like Smartboards, one-to-one technology, PEAK equipment, student-centered campus spaces. Through these projects, your impact on the Heathwood experience for students and faculty has been immeasurable. 2021 FUND THE NEED | MIND, BODY & SPIRIT LS: BASKETBALL COURT REPAVEMENT MS: SOCIAL INSTITUTE US: COMMON AREA SEATING ALL: BIBLE STUDY & CHAPEL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS With the goal of raising $20,000, this year's Fund the Need project holds the promise of positively affecting the lives of every student on Heathwood's campus, supporting development of mind, body and spirit. With your help, each of the following meaningful projects are possible: Re-pavement of the Lower School basketball court Social Institute Curriculum for Middle School, designed to teach students appropriate online and social media practices and behaviors Updated seating in the Robinson Center common area to provide Upper School students with better space for study, collaboration and fellowship The expansion of bible study and chapel enrichment programs across all divisions 22

The Game On is a 66-foot Spencer Yacht and easily the fastest boat in South Carolina. Specializing in portraiture, live events, and most recently, seascapes, her work investigates the nature of personal narratives and how capturing a fleeting moment can tell an entire story. Winner will receive the original 24 x 30 oil painting on canvas.
