THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH ‘EXCLUSION OF LIABILTIY’ PRINTED AT BACK OF SCHEDULE 1. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE REQUIRED FEES. COMPETITORS WITHOUT A NUMBER AND WITHOUT HAVING PAID ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PRESENT THEMSELVES IN ANY RING. By order of Show Committee. 2. Please note before closing date you are requested please, to lodge entries with Secretary as early as possible before the period for receiving Entries closes Monday 18th June 2018. NO LATE ENTRIES PLEASE 3. Any discourtesy by an owner or servant will disqualify the animal from adjudication or from taking a prize.

4. Each Exhibitor or agent must be prepared to verify every statement contained in the Entry Form in any manner the Show Committee may require.

5. Where an animal is not complying with the Conditions of the schedule, the entry will be disqualified. 6. The decision of the Judges must be accepted as final. 7. Should any dispute arise for which a specific rule is not provided, such matters in dispute shall be referred to the Committee, whose decision shall be final, and in no case can there be an appeal to law. 8. The Association reserves the right to postpone or abandon the Show but will not be responsible to any intending Exhibitor for loss incurred by reason of such postponement or abandonment. 9. Any person entering an exhibit and failing to send same for exhibition, shall forfeit the Entry Fee.

10. Every effort will be made to commence the Classes and Events listed on this Schedule at the time stated. 11. The Committee has made every endeavour to avoid competitions overlapping, but competitors must appreciate that no Class can be held up awaiting their convenience.

12. THE COMMITTEE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY EVENT WHERE INSUFFICENT ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED. CASTLEWELLAN AGRICULTURAL SHOW - SCHEDULE 2018 4 THE CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY QUALIFIERS The Clydesdale Horse Society Shield A Shield (which will be supplied and engraved by The Clydesdale Horse Society) will be awarded to the best yearling or two-year-old Colt or Filly, registered or eligible for registration with the Society, not having won a Shield before in its lifetime. The Exhibitor must be a current member of The Clydesdale Horse Society. YOUNG HANDLERS – An engraved medal is presented by The Clydesdale Horse Society to the best young handler aged 12-16 on day of the show who has not already qualified.

The capabilities of the handler are to be assessed, NOT the animal being led. The Qualifiers from eligible shows in the period 1 May 2017 – 30 April 2018 will be eligible to compete in the final at the Royal Highland Show in 2018. Qualifiers from the period 1 May 2018 to 30 April 2019 will qualify for the finals at the Royal Highland Show in 2019. The Young Handler Scheme and The Young Handler Final are generously sponsored by the James Bennett Fund.

BLUEGRASS/NISA CLYDESDALE CHAMPIONSHIP 2018 CASTLEWELLAN SHOW is a Qualifying Show for Bluegrass/NISA Clydesdale Championships 2018. Points will be awarded for animals placed – 1st – (5 points), 2nd – (4 points), 3rd – (3 points), in the respective Clydesdale Classes at Castlewellan Show. In addition all horses forward in a class will be awarded one point. These points, together with those gained at other NISA Member Shows staging Clydesdale Classes during the 2018 Show Season, will be totalled, but where more than one show (having heavy horse classes) takes place on the same day, points gained will only count from one of these shows.
