STUDYING WITH ACTI
ONLINE & FLEXIBLE COURSES
ACTI’s online courses allow flexibility to balance work, family and study commitments. Our flexible course options allow
you to study at your own pace with our recommended calendars and schedules. Enjoy the benefits of maintaining your
employment with minimal to no disruption to your work-life. Take advantage of our online learning environment with both
audio and visual lectures that can be accessed repeatedly throughout the unit. You’ll also receive hard-copy materials so
that you can study when you’re not online.
Course Duration and Commitment
Most of ACTI’s courses are offered online, so course duration depends on the complexity of the course you are completing..
We offer a recommended schedule and calendar to assist you to complete your studies. All recommendations made by
ACTI are based on approximately 10 hours of online study per week. While all of our units are self-paced, we do set a
maximum time frame to complete your studies for each unit at 30 weeks. Due to the nature of self-paced learning, you
can complete your studies in less than the recommended timeframe too!
How do I complete the practical component?
Some of our units and courses have a practical component which are completed at ACTI 26 Mort Street Braddon. These
workshops are scheduled on an individual basis to accommodate your schedule. We typically conduct training sessions
on Monday-Thursday. If you require after-hours or weekends we will do our best to cater for your needs. No certificates will
be issued to students who do not complete the required practical training. No refunds or credits will be applied to students
who do not attend or complete practical training. Please speak with our team if you have questions regarding practical.
How are assessments conducted?
ACTI’s workshops involve assessments to ensure quality standards are maintained, and to ensure our graduates
understand all the course material for their chosen studies. Each unit involve both open-book and closed-book
assessments. Any practical assessments are conducted at ACTI 26 Mort Street Braddon. More information regarding
assessments and practical training will be provided to you upon enrolment.
Do online students gain the same knowledge as face-to-face students?
Most definitely. The same course content is delivered to online students. You will have access to the same learning
materials as face-to-face students. The online learning platform includes lectures, written material, activities and
workbooks to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
Do I receive ongoing support?
Definitely! You will receive access to course material for each unit and/ or course which will provide you with learning tools
and everything you need to know about your studies. The ACTI team is available to assist with any questions in relation to
the course material. We will assign you an experienced, qualified lecturer to help you throughout your course.
