4 AnimeIowa Where Pigs Fly Welcome One and All Ladies and gentlemen, the convention has just landed in Des Moines! Welcome to our first year back in Des Moines in over a decade, and our first year at the Iowa Events Center and the Hilton Des Moines Downtown. Our staff have been working behind the scenes for over a year to put on our biggest and best convention to date. We hope that you have fun and make lots of new friends and memories along the way. We’ve pulled out all of the stops this year, so the sky is the limit to exciting possibilities. We also understand that with major changes can come some new and interesting challenges. We appreciate your support as we learn alongside you this year. If you have any questions our wonderful Info Desk or any of our staff can point you in the right direction to find the answers. Please also remember to give your thoughts on our feedback forms on Sunday, or online after the convention.

5 Convention Center and Hotel General Behavior Convention Rules & Information Harassment Don’t be a DINK! - Please do not intentionally disrespect your fellow attendees or do things that are inappropriate and/or dangerous. If you see someone making a dink of themselves, please report them at the AnimeIowa BRIDGE located on level 3 of the IEC and at night in the Hilton on the 2nd floor. City, State and Federal Laws - If it’s a law outside the convention, it’s a law within the convention. This means NO underage drinking, NO theft, No fighting, No drug abuse or anything else that lands in your court. Just Say NO!

Badges - You MUST have your badge to participate in convention activities. AnimeIowa reserves the right to revoke the membership of any participant who breaks our house rules or acts in a manner that is unsafe or otherwise unacceptable. Weapons and Props - All weapons and large props must be brought to the WEAPONS TABLE located on Level 3 by the Bridge to be inspected and peace-marked by Convention Staff. Be respectful of other attendees, and do not allow your prop to damage hotel property. Solicitation - In order to participate in the retail sales of merchandise and services you must be registered with the Marketplace and follow all rules and procedures in the Marketplace contract. However, you are allowed to give out free tokens of love and respect to your fellow Attendees. Panel Disruption - Panelists may ask Disruptive attendees to leave their panels.

PLEASE REFRAIN from using flash photography during panels and other events. Our photography staff work hard to provide the con and you with great pictures and a sudden flash can distort an image. The use of a camera is permitted in approved locations. Costumes - All costumes must cover parts of the body which would be covered by a bathing suit. Additionally, all dress should be respectful and not contain hateful or discriminatory language, symbols or imagery. Use of the AnimeIowa logo, mascot, or name in costuming is prohibited unless written consent is obtained from the convention or its parent foundation, or if the item is purchased from the convention.

Cosplay is NOT Consent Every attendee of a Mindbridge Foundation activity has the right to be free from harassment. Ha- rassment of anyone on the bases of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, or physical or mental disability is prohibited by law and by the policies of this Foundation. Harassment because of sexual orientation, personal appearance, marital status or other personal charac- teristics, is disrespectful and also prohibited by Mindbridge and AnimeIowa company policies. If you are a victim or witness to and act of Harassment or any other violation of AnimeIowa’s policy and rules, we encourage all attendees to report those incidents directly to the bridge. Or you may report it to any nearby Ranger or Staff member. To aid in this, we encourage anyone who is witness to, if possible, take note of the badge number of the person they are reporting, as well as basic information such as approximate height and weight, clothing or dress, direction they headed, or other useful descriptors.

All complaints will be investigated promptly, impartially, and discreetly. Upon completion of the investigation, the appropriate parties will be notified of the findings. If an attendee staff or outside party is found to have harassed an attendee, appropriate corrective action will be taken. This could range from a disciplinary warning up to and including removal from the event and all other future Mindbridge events. No one will suffer retaliation for reporting alleged instances of harassment. We must work together to prevent and stop harassing conduct at our events.

We trust that the members of Mindbridge Foundation company and attendees for AnimeIowa will act responsibly to maintain safe events, will treat each other with dignity and respect, and will work to maintain events free of discrimination and harassment. For security reasons, we can not accept reports made over Social Media. Reporting Harassment Don’t Litter - Trash bins are all around the convention center and hotel. Keep it Clean! Signs and Adhesives - Bring your signs and posters to the BRIDGE before you hang them. Tape and adhesives are not to be used on hotel walls, doors, or any other surface. See the INFO DESK for more information.

Sleeping in Convention Spaces - Sleeping is not allowed in public spaces like (but not limited to) hallways, stairways, elevators, video rooms, tables, restrooms. If you are found doing so, you will be asked to move. If found again, we will ask you to leave the convention. Pets - Aside from Service Animals, pets and animals are NOT allowed at AnimeIowa. Wheeled Transportation - For the Safety of all attendees, roller blades/ skates, heelies, skateboards and other wheeled personal transportation items are not allowed at AnimeIowa or in the Hotel. Non-recreational items such as strollers and Wheelchairs are permitted with responsible use.

Outside Food items - The Iowa Events Center and the Hilton do not allow outside food or beverages to be brought into function space within their facilities.

Badges • Badges must be worn above your belt, below your neck, be on the front of your body, and be visible at all times.

• The only exception is detailed in the Masquerade Section. • You are free to put your badge in any holder. There will be holders provided by Registration. • Costumes must not cover up your badge. • You must present your badge if asked by staff, ranger, or volunteer door badger. • By wearing the AnimeIowa Convention badge, you give AnimeIowa permission to use your image or likeness for promotion of the convention. Staff and Security • Staff members wear a large/unique badge which boldly states Staff on the front.

• Rangers are a part of AnimeIowa’s security. We have both Staff and Volunteer Rangers at the convention. Both are there for your safety and to help make sure the convention runs smoothly. • Rangers will be wearing identifying badges or uniforms when on duty during the convention. • On duty Rangers have the same authority as staff members. Replacement Badges • Replacement badges can be purchased at the registration desk for a $10.00 fee. • We will require your ID again, and additional information to confirm your identity. Your replacement badge will have the same number on it.

• If you find a badge, please turn it in at the Bridge’s Lost and Found. • If you find your badge, turn in the replacement badge. If someone besides you is found wearing your badge, both parties will be brought to the Convention bridge and dealt with accordingly. Masquerade Event • Participants in the Masquerade are not required to wear their badge while on stage or while costumes are being judged. But outside the green room or Main Stage, you MUST put your badge back on. Age limit Restrictions • All attendees age 12 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times while on event property. • Unattended children age 12 and under will be reported to the Bridge and a Ranger or staff member will stay with them at their location until their registered adult is located and brought to their location.

• Persons under the age of 18 must provide emergency contact information for a person at or near the convention Badges and Convention space • Only persons with a badge are permitted within areas of the convention. This includes the IEC Marketplace, programming rooms, gaming rooms and event areas of the Hilton Hotel. • If you have to purchased a badge, you may not wander the halls. • Persons without badges will be escorted to Registration to purchase one or be required to leave convention space. • A Convention Badge is required to Volunteer. Badge Refunds • No refunds will be issued at the convention. Volunteer Opportunities The Information Desk 7 Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn about the con, and enjoy some added perks. You can earn prizes, Con T-shirts, and even your Registration for 2019. All while seeing the convention in a new way. If you are interested in Volunteering, stop by the Volunteer Desk on the first floor in the hallway by the lobby. Scheduling is flexible and some positions are available 24 hours. The Volunteers Dept is located on Level 2 of the IEC across from the Anime Marketplace The Accessibility Department is dedicated to bringing universal design to AnimeIo- wa, so that attendees of all ability levels can enjoy the convention fully. Services we provide include large print program books, signs directing attendees to the cosplay changing area, and arranging for the food in the Consweet to be labeled with common allergens, as well as whether it is vegan or gluten-free.

9 Honored Guests Greg Ayres - Voice Actor Greg has spent the last 15 years working in an industry he had first admired as a fan. With over 200 credits to his name, this fan-boy has managed to get to play a variety of characters that are almost as colorful as Greg’s ever changing locks.His most recent roles include Satoru Asahina in From the New World, Kenji Nakanishi in Say I Love You, Sion in No. 6, Heisuke Toudou in Hakuoki, Tommyrod in Toriko, Arikawa in This Boy Can Fight Aliens, Tomoki Sakurai, in Heaven’s Lost Property, and Volken, in the Book of Bantorra. Some of his all-time favorite roles include Son Goku in Saiyuki, Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran High School Host Club, Youhei Sunohara in Clannad, Yuki in The Wallflower, Leo in Ghost Stories, Satoshi Hiwatari in DNAngel, Kaworu Nagisa in the Director’s Cut of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Negi Springfield in Negima. He can also be heard as Uesugi Kenshin in Sengoku Basara, Seikechi Tayama in Oh Edo Rocket, Hiro Hirono in ef: A Tale of Memories, and many other titles he’ll probably forget to mention. When he’s not in a booth with headphones on, you can usually find him sporting headphones of another variety behind “the decks”. A veteran nightclub DJ, he jumped at the opportunity to play music and organize late night dances at many of the conventions he attends. Trina Nishimura - Voice Actor Trina Nishimura has become a fixture in the anime scene over the past few years, primarily working with FUNimation Entertainment. Trina was first cast in Desert Punk as the little hungry girl Namiko and has refused to leave the FUNimation property ever since. Her most notable credits include: Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan), Black Cat (Tanya), Claymore (Flora and Sophia), Jyu Oh Se (Tiz), Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple (Shigure Kosaka) just to name a few Additionally, Trina has voiced Meifong Liu in Blassreiter, Kaaya in Tower of Druaga, Akeno in My Bride is a Mermaid, Karen Nishiyama in Bamboo Blade, Luna in Cashern Sins, Lia Dragonell Sands of Destruction, Mizune in Soul Eater, and her most anticipated role to date as Mari Makinami Illustrious in Evangelion 2.22. Joel McDonald - Voice Actor Joel McDonald is a voice actor, Oreo enthusiast, and ADR director with Funimation Entertainment. He’s directed Space Dandy, Assassination Classroom, One Piece, Initial D, Sgt. Frog, Deadman Wonderland, One Piece: Film Z, and a dozen or so more.

As an adaptive scriptwriter, Joel has worked with Funimation on projects like DBZ: Kai, Claymore, and Linebarrels of Iron, and with Bang Zoom! on Seven Deadly Sins and Fate/Stay Night. But wait! 10 Rachel Robinson - Voice Actor/Musican Christopher Bevins - Voice director/Director Honored Guests Since 2000, born-and-raised Angelena Rachel Robinson’s voice has spanned the spectrum of video games, animation, national commercials, promos and anime. More recent anime roles include Mauve (ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept), Hiroko (Yuri on Ice!!), Chitose Oribe (Sakura Quest), Gundula Rall (Brave Witches), Anastasia (Drifters), Cal Shekar (Taboo Tattoo), Os Cara Stauffenberg (Project Itoh: Harmony), Fahali (Monster Hunter Stories), Angine (Puzzle and Dragons X) and Namazuo (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) – her first recurring boy role. She is also Diamondback/Rachel Leighton (Marvel Disk Wars: Avengers,) Maltran (Tales of Zestiria: The X), Kikyo (One Piece), and Wendy (Black Butler: Book of Circus), Garak (Snow White with the Red Hair), and many others.

11 Austin Tindle - Writer/ Actor Austin Tindle is a writer and actor living in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Orlando, Florida, raised in Austin, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Dallas on an academic scholarship, where he almost became an electrical engineer. At 19, he was cast as Romeo and changed majors the same day. He has spent over a decade performing professionally on stage in Dallas, Texas, but he’s probably most well-known for his work with Funimation Studios, where he has voiced many characters including: Marco Bodt (Attack on Titan), Karma Akabane (Assassination Classroom), Avilio Bruno (91 Days), Seborgia (Hetalia), Raspberry (Dragon Ball Z), Accelerator (A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun), Ichirohiko (The boy and the Beast). You can also hear him voicing leading roles in many shows including: Is This a Zombie, Guilty Crown, D-Frag, Gonna Be The Twin-Tail, Prince Of Stride, Prison School, Tamo No-Rin, ACCA, Mariah the Virgin Witch, Snow White with the Red Hair, Trickster, Shangri-La, and many more. Honored Guests Meet the 2018 Cosplay Masquerade MC’s April Choi and Bethany Byrnes - Entertainers Sallie and Greg Abba - Con Parents April Choi and Bethany Byrnes are Circus Performers based out of Peoria, Illinois. The two are no strangers to anime conventions as they have been attending and performing at them since 2004. In total they have attended over 150 different anime conventions. The duo specializes in Whip Cracking but have honors in Fire Performances as well. They have appeared on The Late Show, The Today Show, The Gong Show, and many other National and International Television Shows. This duo also has some impressive records as listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

April and Bethany started in sideshow scenes and now tour stateside show-casing their stunning circus skills to shock, surprise, and thrill spectators. So, sit down, shout out and set your eyes on these Specially Skilled, Sonic Sirens. In addition to MC-ing the 2018 Cosplay Masquerade and show, April and Bethany will be preforming their captivating stage show live during the break. You won’t want to miss it! AnimeIowa is pleased to announce that we are bring Sallie & Greg Abba in as the Convention Parent Guest of Honor for 2018. Convention Parents (or “Con Moms” or “Con Dads”) are individuals who serve as role models, guardians, or even actual parents to attendees and the broader community. These individuals act as a shepherd, guiding newer generations into fandoms and helping to ensure a safe experience for everyone. That is why we are here to celebrate Con Parents with Sallie and Greg. GregandSallieattendedtheirfirstconventionin1989andhaven’tmissedayearsince.T heirconvention going has included Science Fiction and Fantasy, Anime, Gaming, WorldCons and CostumeCons. They have been on quite a few convention staffs, and chaired a few as well. However cosplay is their forte. They have done just about everything from tech crew, to judging, to competing. Greg is the prop master and fabricator, while Sallie is the sewer and textile wizard. They have dragged their kids along on their convention escapades and are now working on the next generation with their grandsons. Conventions have become a family gathering time with as many as four generations in attendance. “We are fortunate to be able to share our convention adventures with our families and our con-family.”

12 Daniel “Stitch” Mohr - Artist/ Entertainer Samurai Dan and Jillian - Entertainers Wolfie B Bad - Entertainer Special Appearance by The Pillowcases - Band Daniel “Stitch” Mohr – Comic artist, author, and actor who was born and bred in Minnesota. Daniel is also known as that guy over there in the hat. He has been act- ing for over 20 years in both Community Theater and professional performances, and specializes in improvisation. He has been heard to say he will do anything for a laugh, and has proved it more than once. Ask him about being lit on fire. For almost a decade he has worked with his puppet companion Wolfie, and they have been called equal opportunity offenders however they promise to behave at least five minutes every day.

Currently he lives with his wife in St Paul, where they run Mohr Creations together selling his artwork and her custom made fine jewelry. Daniel has also begun his own publishing company, Wolfie B Bad Productions, which publishes his comic collections, “Everyday Gods”, “World Wide News”, “Life is a Natural One”, and soon the new comic “The Adventures of Bastian and Mushu”. The Pillowcases are a Pillows cover band, playing the very best songs from FLCL and FLCL 2! They’ll also be throwing in a few covers for fun. If you’re a fan of the show, you’re going to love this show, and if you’ve never seen it, you’re going to love this show! Saturday Anime returns for one night only! Live at the Hilton – 30 mins after the mas- querade. Come celebrate the return of FLCL with the return of The Pillowcases! Wolfie B Bad – Wolfie was born in Minnesota, and was born to be an actor. He was on stage making audiences laugh when he was only three months old. Since then he has expanded his repertoire to include audience participation stand up, giving advice via the podcast “Bad Advice with Wolfie and Cory!!” and carousing on an Olympic level. Wolfie has presented at fortune 500 companies, and has also run for president. Vote Awesome in any future election, they all pay well. Dan Coglan, a.k.a. “Samurai Dan” and his wife, Jillian are the acknowledged masters of marital... er, MARTIAL mayhem. This dynamic duo travels the civilized portions of the U.S., bringing their unique show to curious and horrified audiences alike.

In addition to their high-energy, mostly safe stage shows (where razor sharp blades and barbs fly) the couple teaches historical and hysterical panels on the way of the warrior. Offering a wide range of lectures and interactive workshops, Dan and his lethal love Jillian are guaranteed to provide con attendees fun and fulfillment. Due to a supreme lack of filter, Dan also performs standup comedy, and lives to embarrass his wife onstage, in censored and uncensored settings. A storyteller at heart, Dan is finishing his third horror novel, and offers insights into the creative process with panels for the aspiring writer as well.

We select, train and place our service dogs with brave wounded warriors. Puppy Jake Foundation also provides resources for the advocacy, awareness and acceptability in public for those that require the assistance of a service dog.

All funds are raised through grass-roots efforts – including charity events, corporate sponsors and individual contributions. During the Anime Iowa Convention Family Programming provides panels and other activities that families with children can enjoy together. It is important to note that Family Programming is not a child care service. Although, Family Programming does give priority to families with children, all attend- ees are encouraged to participate. The goal of Family Programming is to spread appreciation for anime and the Japanese Culture to a new generation in a fun and family-friendly way! The AnimeIowa Cosplay Masqurade is one of the highlights of Anime Iowa. Par- ticipants have the opportunity to present their cosplay, skits and dances on stage in front of a live audience! Come watch your fellow congoers showcase their excellent craftsmanship and performance skills for the judges and you!

If you do not attend Craftsmanship Pre- Judging, you forfeit your position in the Craftsmanship cate- gory. Please remember to bring any ref- erence and progress photos you wish to present to the judges; we will not be able to look them up for you. Hall Cosplay Have you ever wanted to compete in the Mainstage Cosplay but you get stage fright? Want to show off your character’s personality and quirks but shy away from the big competitions? Then try the Animeiowa Hall Cosplay Contest!

What do I do, you ask? All you need to do for this contest is show up in Cosplay Central during the times listed above, fill out a form (no need to register in advance), and pose for a picture from our contest photographer! Easy, right? The Cosplay staff will then vote to select the winners for each day and from those selections, an overall winner will be chosen. The winners will be announced during the Mainstage Cosplay awards ceremony. Cannot attend the Mainstage Cosplay on Saturday and you won? No problem! You can pick up your award on Sunday in Cosplay Central!

Cosplay Photo Contest Rules • This contest is open to all AnimeIowa attendees, including staff assuming their duties allow. • Any AnimeIowa staff competing in the Cosplay Photo Contest are prohibited from voting. • Entries may be made as an individual or as a group. All groups will be judged as a single entry. • You may enter a different costume in each day, but you cannot enter one costume multiple times. • You may not enter any costume registered for either the Mainstage Cosplay or Hall Cosplay. Greg Ayres as Takaya Abe Black Lagoon Friday at 7:00pm in Video Room 1 The story follows a team of pirates/mercenaries known as “Lagoon Company.” They smuggle goods in and around the seas of Southeast Asia during the early 1990s. Their base of operations is located in the city of Roanapur, Thailand. They transport goods in their boat Black Lagoon. The team takes on a variety of missions—which may involve violent firefights, hand-to-hand combat, and nautical battles—and when not doing much, the members of the “Lagoon Company” spend much of their down time at “The Yellow Flag,” a bar in Roanapur.

Bleach Saturday at 3:00pm in Video Room 4 Ichigo Kurosaki has the ability to see ghosts and spirits. Because of his ability, he meets a female death god (Shinigami) named Rukia Kuchiki. To save his family and friends from soul-eating spirits called Hollows, Rukia transfers her powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, they solve mysteries involving spirits and Hollows. That is until Rukia has extended her stay in the human world too long…and is discovered to have ille- gally transferred her powers to a human. She is taken, and Ichigo swears to retrieve her. This teenager may have a better chance than most to complete this task. Rin is the inheritor of Satan’s powers; his father’s powers. 28 Case Closed Sunday at 2:00pm in Video Room 4 Jimmy Kudo, a 17-year-old prodigy and detec- tive who frequently worked with the police, was attacked by two members of a mysterious crime syndicate while investigating a case regarding blackmail. He was forced to take a new experimental poison that was supposed to kill him…but the drug transformed his body back into a 7-year-old. In order to hide his identity and investigate the syndicate, he adopts the pseudonym Conan Edogawa. He moves in with childhood friend Rachel Moore, whose father, Richard Moore, works as a private investigator. He enrolls at Teitan elementary school and forms the Junior Detective League with Amy Yoshida, Mitch Tsuburaya, and George Kojima. As Conan, Jimmy continues solving cases, usually by posing as Richard Moore with special gadgets, invented by his neighbor and friend, Dr. Agasa. Richard Moore, a rather inept detective, is bewildered at the rise in his case-solving abilities, but does not question this as he is more than glad about his rise in fame.

Cowboy Bebop Sunday at 9:00am in Video Room 4 A bounty system similar to that in the Old West- -in outer space. The spaceship Bebop travels about to deal with fugitives, terrorists, and other criminals. Jet Black is the owner of Bebop, but has partnered with Spike Spiegel. During its travels, Bebop gains new crew members—Faye Valentine, Ed, and Ein the dog—much to the visible annoy- ance of both Jet and Spike. Crayon Shin-Chan Saturday at 1:00am in Video Room 6 Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara is a little boy who seems to do everything he can to annoy his par- ents and teachers (and succeeds wildly), but only means the best. He just tries to have a good time and in doing so, does things which will create the maximum vexation in others.

Greg Ayres, additional voices Deadman Wonderland Saturday at 5:00pm in Video Room 4 Ganta Igarashi is an escapee of the Great Tokyo Earthquake. However, this happened ten years ago, and he has no memories of this tragedy. Ev- erything is normal, until a mysterious “Red Man” appears at his school and brutally murders the entire class--except Ganta. Wrongfully accused and framed for the crime, Ganta is sent to the prison known as Deadman Wonderland, which markets itself as a twisted theme park with lethal games setup for inmates as public entertainment. At least he is aided by a weird little girl named Shiro and can now attack people…with his blood!

Together, the group sets out on an adventure to fight evil, save the world, and find a way home.

Dragon Ball Friday at 5:00pm in Video Room 1 The series begins with a monkey-tailed boy named Goku befriending a teenage girl named Bulma. Together they go on a quest to find the seven magic Dragon Balls. Along the way, they meet and befriend a plethora of martial artists. Goku also undergoes rigorous training regimes and educational programs in order to fight in the World Martial Arts Tournament, a com- petition involving the most powerful fighters in the world. Outside the tournaments, Goku faces diverse villains such as Emperor Pilaf, the Red Ribbon Army, the demon Piccolo Daimao and his offspring Piccolo Jr., who eventually becomes Goku's ally.

Dragon Ball Super Saturday at 1:00pm in Video Room 2 With Majin Buu’s defeat, life is peaceful and our heroes have settled into normal lives. Goku has even taken on a job working in the fields. But don’t get too comfortable. From far away, the God of Destruction has awoken from slumber and is eager to fight a legendary warrior that takes him traveling to Earth. This event becomes called "Careless Monday," as it did not result in any apparent vic- tims. Three months later, Saki Morimi is a young woman in the United States on her graduation trip. Getting into some trouble in front of the White House, she is saved by a Japanese man… who is stark naked, with a gun, a phone, far too much digital cash, and no memory. Heading back to Japan with Saki, Akira Takizawa receives help from her and her friends as they attempt to piece together his past.

Fruits Basket Sunday at 9:00am in Video Room 3 When high school student Tohru Honda's mother dies in a car accident, Tohru decides to support herself and not be a bother to her grandfa- ther…by living in a tent and working a job. She happened to set up her tent on the land of a classmate, Yuki Sohma and his elder cousin Shig- ure. They offer up their home as a place for her to stay, despite the concerns of having a girl living with them. In the arrival of another cousin, the brash Kyo, she discovers just how their concerns of a girl are more than the usual. Gantz Saturday at 10:00pm in Video Room 6 After saving a drunkard from the subway tracks, Kei Kurono and his friend Katou Masaru die. Life sucks that way, right? However, in death, they find themselves trapped in an enclosed apartment with others who have just died and are forced to participate in a dangerous game. 29 Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone Saturday at 4:00pm in Video Room 3 In the year 2000, the Second Impact occurred, flooding the world and killing half its population. Fifteen years later, gigantic beings called “Angels” have appeared with the intent of initiating the Third Impact to finish the job. NERV, an under- ground defense organization has has devel- oped the one weapon capable of stopping the Angels: Evangelions. They are giant mecha which piloted by specially-chosen children. Shinji Ikari, 14-year-old son of NERV director Gendo Ikari, is one such youth. His father has called him to Tokyo-3 to train as an Eva pilot and defend the world. Though reluctant to help a father who abandoned him, overwhelmed by the burden of responsibility and the horror of battling the Angels, Shinji accepts his role. With the NERV staff behind him, Shinji sets out to battle a trio of Angels. As a last case, he can receive assistance from the mysterious Rei Ayanami, in her own Evangelion. Behind the scenes, Shinji’s father and the secretive organization SEELE carry out ulterior motives, which seem to have everything to do with the Angels' onslaught. Not just any full-fledged mage, but one for the mage guild called “Fairy Tail.” She meets Natsu--a boy who is feeling ill from just taking transportation into town--not realizing he is part of the Fairy Tail guild. He offers Lucy membership into the guild. She accepts and her adventures begin.

FLCL Saturday at 11:00pm in Video Room 1 Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (al- though a bit cynical), but when his older brother leaves for America, he leaves his homeless girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi is sending mixed signals and advances to Naota, and he doesn't know what to do about her. To make matters worse, Naota is run over by a woman on a Vespa. She hits him over the head with her guitar, and causes a horn to grow out of his forehead. She calls herself "Haruko" and her presence ups Naota's life to even further insanity. Food Wars Saturday at 11:00am in Video Room 2 Soma Yukihira aspires to become a chef and take over the family restaurant to surpass his father’s culinary skills. However, his father has closed the restaurant to travel, and has enrolled Soma into an elite cooking school where students partici- pate in cooking showdowns. Will Soma be able to improve his skills using what he’s learned from years with his father? Will he reach his goal of sur- passing his father? Or will the heat and pressure be too much?

Haikyu!! Saturday at 2:00pm in Video Room 3 Falling in love with the sport after seeing a national championship match on TV, short Hinata Shoyo is determined to be like the star player and begins practicing volleyball. Crushed in his first official game, he vows to surpass, and someday defeat, Kageyama Tobio from the opposing team. Soon after, Hinata enters high school and heads off to join their volleyball club, discovering his rival is also there to join the same team. Greg Ayres as Yu Nishinoya Hellsing Sunday at 3:00am in Video Room 6 Hellsing is named after, and centered on, the Holy Order of Protestant Knights originally led by Abraham Van Helsing. The organization is now led by Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, who inherited the leadership of Hellsing as a child after the death of her father. She witnessed his death, making her a tough and deadly force. She is protected by the faithful Hellsing family butler, a deadly foe in his own right, Walter C. Dornez. She is also protected by Alucard, the original and most powerful vampire, who swore loyalty to the Hellsing family after being defeated by Van Hels- ing one hundred years ago. They are joined by a police girl-turned-vampire, Seras Victoria. Soon, they find a new breed of vampires beginning to arise.

Highschool of the Dead Saturday at 7:00pm in Video Room 4 Takashi Komuro is a normal high school boy. However, the present day world has been struck by a deadly epidemic. This epidemic turns peo- ple into zombie-like creatures. He, his friends, and the school nurse fight their way to safety. During this, they attempt to find out how this outbreak happened and just what has happened to the world. As he gets to know them, he discovers that these demi may not be as unusual as he first thought. Inuyasha Friday at 6:00pm in Video Room 4 “Who am I? On my fifteenth birthday, I fell down a well. Except this well sent me back into the past of feudal Japan. Apparently demons are real back here, and I'm also apparently the reincarnation of a priestess. I accidently broke this jewel she died protecting, and now am traveling to find all the pieces. My traveling companion is a half-demon I set free from the priestess’ spell. Sounds like an adventure worth my name, right? Well... Hey! Inuyasha! Sit boy!” Is This a Zombie?

She’s willing to do a lot for him, including becoming a magical girl. When demons arrive to kidnap him, Saki transforms to save him, but she hasn’t turned into exactly what she was expecting… Mob Psycho 100 Sunday at 11:00am in Video Room 3 He wants to be normal, but Shigeo ‘Mob’ Kageya- ma is a middle schooler with psychic powers. While he uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits, he keeps those powers suppressed the remain- der of the time. Despite his want to live a normal life like anyone else, trouble and his growing power threatens more than just his ability to live a normal life.

The people living on Mars now depend heavily on Earth for economic development and the living conditions leave much to be desired. Kudelia Aina Bernstein seeks to change this, heading off and employing Chryse Guard Security to escort her on a journey to Earth to speak on behalf of changing things; speaking for independence.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Saturday at 11:00am in Video Room 4In a future where mankind has colonized space, a pacifist leader wishing to free the space colonies from the United Earth Sphere Alliance has been killed. Luffy, is a boy who gained rubber powers, and he and his crew are off to find One Piece. They battle many enemies and make new friends along the way. For a man who became a hero for fun and the thrill of battle, Saitama is bored and frustrated at the lack of challenge, and now searches for a worthy adversary.

Ouran Highschool Host Club Friday at 9:00am in Video Room 4 Haruhi is a poor student at a school for the ultra-wealthy because of a scholarship, but is unable to even afford a uniform. One day Haruhi stumbles across the peculiar, but very popular Ouran Highschool Host Club and right into an ex- pensive vase. Unable to pay for it, Haruhi is told to stay and do odd jobs and eventually becomes a new member. Haruhi is an instant hit, the ladies love Haruhi…who is actually not a boy…but in fact, a girl.

Greg Ayres as Kaoru Hitachin Past Favorite AMVs Sunday at 11:00am in Video Room 5 Persona 4: The Animation Friday at 3:00pm in Video Room 3 In the town of Inaba there have been mysterious murders occurring. Narukami also discovers the late night channel. Somehow through this channel, he can travel through the television and summon ‘Persona’ to fight the shadows contained within. Seeming to have a connection to these mysteri- ous murders, Narukami and his new friends set off to find more about it to solve the case before it is too late.

Persona 5: The Animation Saturday at 12:00pm in Video Room 3 Ren Amamiya is a transfer student who has had his Persona awakened. With a group of friends, he has set out to reform the hearts of corrupt adults by stealing the source of their distorted desires. Princess Jellyfish Friday at 4:00pm in Video Room 4 There is an apartment building in Tokyo where the only tenants are a group of socially awkward women who fixate over their favorite things; and men are definitely not allowed. It is here that Tsukimi Kurashita, lover of the jellyfish, lives and hopes to become an illustrator. In her attempt to save a spotted jellyfish from certain doom, Tsukimi receives help from a stylish woman who takes charge of the situation and demands that the pet store clerk must give the animal to them. After getting the jellyfish situated in its new home, the stylish woman crashes there, later deciding she likes it there and says she’ll come back to visit again. This wouldn’t be a problem, except for the stylish woman is actually a cross-dressing man! Chris Bevins as Hanamori, ADR Director and script writer Puella Magi Madoka Magica Sunday at 9:00am in Video Room 1 A schoolgirl named Madoka Kaname and her friend Sayaka Miki are approached by an ador- able familiar named Kyube. Kyube offers to grant them each one wish. Another girl, Homura Akemi has already made this deal and is determined to prevent Madoka from accepting. Kyube encour- ages Madoka, saying she will become the most powerful magical girl. Madoka hesitates, seeing her friends suffer in using their supernatural powers to fight “witches,” creatures responsible for murders and suicides.

Recovery of an MMO Junkie Friday at 11:00am in Video Room 1 At 30 years old, Morioka Moriko has dropped out of the real world and turned to online gaming and creates a male character named Hayashi as her avatar. She receives help in the game from a lovely girl named Lily, improving and becoming more and more engrossed in the game. Mean- while, in the real world, she has a chance encoun- ter with company worker Yuta Sakurai whom may have ties to the new online world she’s joined. Restaurant to Another World Friday at 3:00pm in Video Room 1 There is a restaurant, Western Restaurant Nekoya, on the corner of a Tokyo shopping district that is fairly popular. Despite its name, it has both traditional Japanese fare as well as Western dishes. But don’t expect to eat at this restaurant on Saturdays; it’s closed. But that’s not quite the truth. On Saturdays, the restaurant is closed to be open for some very unique customers coming in through doorways to other worlds, such as elves, dragons and fairies.

Sailor Moon Crystal Friday at 7:00pm in Video Room 3 Usagi Tsukino encounters a black cat named Luna that can talk. Sheinforms Usagi that she is the chosen guardian of justice and gives her the pow- er to transform into Sailor Moon. She needs to deal with this notion, figure out mysterious new powers, responsibilities as a guardian, finding the other guardians, fighting the forces of evil… what’s a regular school girl to do? Samurai Champloo Friday at 11:00am in Video Room 3 Wanting to find the samurai who smells of sun- flowers, Fuu convinces two others to journey with her in her search. A fierce samurai warrior Mugen, and the more traditional samurai Jin travel along with this young woman on her search. Slayers Evolution-R Friday at 1:00pm in Video Room 3 Lina and her group are in search for the “Hell- master's Jar” in which the Red Priest placed his soul after death. Zelgadis is willing to do anything to keep the jar for changing back into a human, while Zuuma plots revenge by killing Lina Inverse. It is still a big mystery for her and the others what exactly Xellos is aiming for in this battle. Snow White with the Red Hair Friday at 9:00am in Video Room 1 Due to her unusual hair color, Shirayuki catches the eye of Prince Raj. Rather than wooing or courting her, he commands she become his con- cubine. Refusing his order, Shirayuki cuts her hair and escapes to the neighboring kingdom where Prince Raj still looks for her. There, she meets Zen who is unfortunately poisoned by an apple sent to her by Prince Raj.

31 Soul Eater Saturday at 9:00am in Video Room 3 Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around three groups of a weapon meister and a human weapon; Maka and Soul Eater, Black Star and Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson. These weapons are wielded in a symbiotic relationship which allows both to achieve greater levels of power in combat. Meisters who reap 99 tainted souls and a witch will raise their weapon to the status of a Death Scythe, and thus fit for use by Death should he choose to wield it. Space Dandy Saturday at 2:00pm in Video Room 1 A dandy guy in space!

Space Dandy travels across the galaxy in search of aliens that no one has ever laid eyes on before. Each new discovery leads to a hefty reward, but he must be quick because it’s first come and first serve! Kraft Lawrence is a 25 year-old traveler who goes from town to town buying and selling various things to make a living and comes across the town of Pasroe. There he meets Horo, a wolf girl, who turns out to be the town’s goddess. Believing the people have forsaken her--despite keeping her promise of good harvests--she manages to bar- gain her way out by making a deal with Lawrence with hopes of returning to her homeland. Taboo Tattoo Sunday at 11:00am in Video Room 1 Trained in martial arts, Seigi rescues a man from some street punks and receives a gift as thanks. When he accepts the object, it imprints a tattoo on his palm. A tattoo that is a special weapon that has him meeting someone whose duty is to pur- sue and recover tattoos like the one he received. As events unfold, he finds himself being pulled in the middle and wrapped up into a cross-national conspiracy.

Rachel Robinson, voice of Cal Shekar Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike Sunday at 1:00 in Video Room 6 Two young men, Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo, are knights fresh from the academy. In a time where a new type of energy has been discovered and being used to protect towns from monsters, they’ve been sent out on a mission to eradicate monsters near a town and find a strange surge of this energy, aer. With mankind not having much knowledge on what exactly this energy is, what could this mean for them and the people they strive to protect?

Sold at an auction to a mysterious man, she finds he is a magus, a sorcerer, who has taken interest in her aptitude for magic. He de- cides to make her his apprentice—and his bride. Joel McDonald as Oberon The Slayers Saturday at 9:00am in Video Room 1 Meet Lina Inverse, a sassy teen sorceress whose two joys in life are food and money! Along with swordsman Gourry, who may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, she heads off to stop the resurrection of a powerful monster. While doing so, they team up with part golem, part demon, and part human man named Zelgadis. In their travels, Lina and Gourry also come across Amelia, who is a hyperactive princess that enthusiastically believes in justice.

Tokyo Ghoul Saturday at 6:00pm in Video Room 1 Bookworm college student Ken Kaneki has met a girl who will change his life. Same age and interests, this seems to be looking well for Kaneki. Except for the fact Rize Kamishiro is a ghoul and she just donated one of her organs to him, turning Kaneki into something that is half-human/ half-ghoul. Yet when they meet this dangerous Vash the Stampede, they are face to face with an extremely friendly man who is a pacifist, hates blood and suicide, a crybaby at times, and who loves donuts. Meryl refuses to believe this is the legendary gunman on the run with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head.

That is until two years later when he meets Kaori Miyazono, a free-spirited violinist. Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation Friday at 4:00pm in Video Room 2 In the third season of the Yowamushi Pedal series, the Sohoku High bicycle racing club has just beat the reigning champions. However, the third year students are leaving the team and the younger students are stepping up with new first years join- ing. Can they possibly keep Sohoku on the throne and become champions again? Or will their rivals be fueled by the loss and retake the crown? YuYu Hakusho Friday at 9:00am in Video Room 3 "And so it all begins.This boy's name is Yusuke. He's fourteen years old, and is supposed to be the hero of this story, but oddly enough... he's dead." –Narrator YuYu Hakusho follows Yusuke Urameshi, a street-brawling delinquent who, in an uncharac- teristic act of altruism, is hit by a car and killed in an attempt to save a young boy.
