Parks and Recreation Department programs at school buildings are held pending availability of
facilities. Since school sponsored activities preempt all Parks and Recreation Department
programs, some cancellations will occur. All school buildings are closed to our programs during
school vacations and all three-day holiday weekends. Cancellations of Parks and Recreation
Department programs due to weather conditions are announced by the Parks and Recreation
Department via E-Mail though CommunityPass or Telephone line 973-326-7370 option 4 for
ball field conditions and program cancellations. The recording is generally updated each day at
3:00 PM on weekdays and 8:30 AM on Saturdays as necessary due to weather conditions.
