Our History
The Elcock name has long been associated with Ironbridge since
before the 1900’s, originating from Much Wenlock, in Shropshire.
John Elcock, with his wife Harriet, opened a Greengrocers and
Game Dealers in Ironbridge High Street.
Following the first world war, John Elcock began to transport
people as well as produce.
Early Charabancs were soon in operation, before coach built
vehicles were bought in and the familiar red and grey fleet
appeared on the local roads.
As the popularity of coach transport grew so did M.H.Elcock &
Son Ltd, expanding operations from Telford and throughout the
country brings us up to date with the now internationally known
ELCOCK REISEN, resplendent in its silver, red and gold livery.
