HELLO, SUMMER!
Camp Covenant 2021

“Train up a child in the way he should go,
Camp Covenant 2021 HELLO, SUMMER! - "Train up a child in the way he should go
And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
                              Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)

Covenant exists to equip students with the tools necessary to pursue a lifetime of learning so
that they may discern, reason, and defend the truth in service to our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is our
joy as educators to continue to foster learning even after conventional school has taken a break
for the summer. Because of this commitment to pursuing a lifetime of learning, we offer Camp
Covenant. Please take a moment to look at the classes we have available this summer and
share them with your friends and family. We have some new classes this year, as well as some
returning favorites! Classes fill up quickly so sign up early to reserve your spot for our summer
classes!

All registrations will be online, but here are a few of the details you need to know to get started:

   ● How to Register: Please register online at www.covenantdallas.com/camp.
All classes are first come, first served. Classes can be cancelled if they do not meet the
minimum enrollment. Registration will go live 9am on Wednesday, February 17!

   ● Camp Cost: Each camp cost is different and listed next to each camp. There is a non-
refundable registration fee of $5 if you choose to cancel your registration between March
and May 1. A partial refund of 50% will be given May 1-30 for those unable to attend a
class. No refunds will be given after June 1.
Swag Bag Add On! We’re so excited to offer a Swag Bag Add On to your registration this
year! For $25, your student will get a camp logo cinch backpack, camp logo stainless
steel water bottle, AND camp logo t-shirt! Be sure to look for this option!

   ● Who may attend: Camps are open to Covenant and non-Covenant families. So, invite
your friends or cousins to come with you. The class line-up on the following pages lists
the grade levels for each camp. The grades listed are for the upcoming 2021-2022
       school year.

   ● Dress Code: Dress casually. Shorts, jeans, and t-shirts are acceptable.

   ● What if my child signs up for both morning and afternoon classes? Send a lunch
for your child. There will be a 30 minute supervised break for lunch and play for those
       students staying all day.

   ● Who to contact with questions: Contact Courtney Unruh
(cunruh@covenantdallas.com) with questions regarding all non-athletic camps. Please
contact Liz Traeger (ltraeger@covenantdallas.com) for all athletic camps.

from the texts.

12th Grade Senior Thesis Camp
Even though Covenant seniors have been preparing for their Senior Theses for years, when the
time comes to actually do the work, the Senior Thesis can be intimidating and overwhelming.
While Covenant students have more than enough training to complete the research portion of
the Senior Thesis on their own, this camp is designed to assist with that first step. Seniors – if
you feel like you need a set time to complete your research with guidance and advice from Mr.
Golden, this camp is for you. Mr. Golden will provide instruction on a general level in terms of
sound scholarly research (including proper use of JSTOR) and will also provide individualized
instruction based on your topic and direction. You will need to bring your research sources and
your laptops every day. Zoom attendance available.
