Said DeBevoise: “Coming up on our fourth birthday,

top of the #1 broadcast platform. ... We're now effectively

DeBevoise noted that in its Q2 earnings call last week
CBS revealed a higher target for 2022 of 8 million sub-

which will be focused on entertainment news and built
around CBS Television Distribution’s ENTERTAIN-
MENT TONIGHT brand. CBS All Access’ growth strategy
was highlighted by the recently announced move into

channel, CBSN NY, with additional markets to follow.

CBS CORPORATION REPORTS SECOND QUARTER 2018 RESULTS

On August 2, CBS Corporation reported results for the second quarter of 2018, including record rev-
enues ($3.47 billion, up 6% from the prior year period) and adjusted diluted EPS of $1.12, up 8% from
the prior year period. Said CBS Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves: “Looking ahead, we are set up
for continued growth in 2018, and we feel more confident than ever that CBS is uniquely positioned to
succeed as a direct-to-consumer global content company.” Moonves also noted: “Our direct-to-consumer platforms, CBS All
Access and Showtime OTT, are greatly exceeding our expectations. Our goal was to have 8 million subscribers combined by
2020, and we are now on track to hit that number in 2019. For that reason, and based on our trajectory of growth in these
services, we now predict that CBS All Access and Showtime OTT will have 16 million domestic subscribers by 2022.” For the
