Penta`s business processes are harmonized with the international standards ISO
9001 (Quality Management), and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management)
which are successfully being renewed from 2014.

The BusCARD system is an integrated IT unit that integrates multiple functions, all with the aim of increasing
the quality of service for users of public urban, suburban or long-distance passenger transport, as well as in-
creasing the efficiency of managing the transportation and cost control system.

For passengers, fare collection is only a small part of their travel time, but it significantly impacts their overall
experience. Customers expect a seamless travel experience, so missed bus due to a long lines at ticket vending
machines are unacceptable.

BUS EQUIPMENT
Vehicle equipment consists of a central driv-
er’s computer (central unit) with an integrat-
ed printer, a standalone RFID card validator,
a satellite vehicle monitoring equipment,
and a vehicle video surveillance system.

Each bus in the system is equipped with GSM/GPRS module, GPS mod-
ule and WLAN module, and busses outside the system are equipped
with a card validator that checks the time validity of the cards.

Below You can check equipment for installation in vehicles, among which onboard computer
DCC M5 and validator VAL M5 are PENTA`s own product, protected at SIPO - State Intellectual
Property Office (industrial design, trademark).

Rijeka City Card is a unique solution in Croatia where one card provides the possibility to use services such as
driving in KD Autotrolej busses (public transport of passengers), parking at the Rijeka Promet parking lots,
lending books at the city library, and its payment functionality enables you to shop at Diners Club outlets.

Citizens may choose one card among 3 different types of cards which all enable the use of city services, but
they differ by the type of payment functionality: Diners Club Rijeka City Card (DC RCC) prepaid card, Diners
Club Rijeka City Card (DC RCC) companion card, Diners Club Rijeka City Card (DC RCC) credit card.

From a technical and technological point of view, Rijeka City Card is based on contactless NXP - Mifare tech-
nology, with built-in triple fraud protection (floating key, encrypted sector structure, dynamic sector content
control).

The goal of the project was to find and establish an adequate solution/system that will reduce traffic conges-
tion and at the same time facilitate the drivers to perform daily duties in a way to allow reservation of parking
space in the city center. Drivers reserve their parking space without the stress of finding parking and unneces-
sary travel around city center in the midst of a big crowd. With the development of mobile application, drivers
have access to the status of parking spaces at the desired parking lot, the possibility of booking these parking
lots and the use of new and improved forms of payment.

One of the goals of this project, apart from the development of a new and diversified solution, is the pres-
ervation of the environment, which will have impact on reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and
thereby to reduce pollution.

   capable of emitting any type of programmed ticket (for bus,

ACCESS CONTROL
Solution for reliable entry control
While every organization needs access control, not every access control solution fits the needs of an organi-
zation. Access control systems prevents unauthorized persons from entering the objects or some part of the

is a common name for Penta’s access control systems, time registration or payment for both - closed objects
(business spaces, clubs) as well as for public objects such as stadiums, sport halls, ski resorts, tunnel stations,

security requirements imposed by the investor. Controlling access to your facility electronically is the logical

One of the newest references for access control system is “The Morača Sports Center” in Podgorica, Monte-
negro, that has implemented a ticket sales and access control system consisting of a full height turnstile/elec-
tronic gates for entry control, a ticket sales subsystem and an access control subsystem. All electronic gates
are equipped with electronic ticket validators and RFID card readers. It is noteworthy that each component of
the ticketing and entry control system is Penta’s own product.

The increase in revenue in 2018. compared to 2017. is 50.05%. In the upcoming years we are expecting further

In 2017., the company made profit in the amount of 153.243 EUR, while in 2018, the profit amounted to

Financial sustainability of our projects is guaranteed by the stable and profitable operations of the company,
and the same is expected in the forthcoming period in which the sales revenues are expected to increase for
41% compared to 2018. For all these years, Penta is very successful, supported by its past performance and
financial results.

Penta`s headquarter is in Pula, Croatia, but there are also branches in Serbia (Penta Sistemi d.o.o. Bel-
grade) and Macedonia (Penta Sistemi d.o.o.e.l. Skopje). Concerning the company`s organizational struc-
ture, Penta has adopted functional structure organization. Employees who have similar skills and experiences
are grouped together, what makes production more efficient and of a higher quality. Since the hierarchy is
simple, each department has one manager they are to answer to.

IDeABiM     - Interoperable and
Decentralized Autonomic Building

IDeABiM will deliver a set of next generation build-
ing management tools that will incentivize and assist
building and appliance stakeholders (energy providers,
constructors, installers, managers and occupants) to
strive towards optimal energy management. The im-
plemented solution will contribute to a data-driven
economy to provide energy efficiency as a service.
