A. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
                                            This report reviews the rollout and adoption of EMV Contactless
                                            (cEMV) as an alternative form of ‘ticketing’ outside of London since the
                                            creation of the cross-industry Contactless Transit Framework in 2017.
                                            It draws on quantitative data provided by transit operators, and on
                                            qualitative research with various stakeholders from the payments and
                                            transit industries and government bodies.

B. BACKGROUND
