        The Indigenous Youth Mobility Program provides
        accommodation options for Aboriginal and Torres Strait
        Islander students wishing to relocate from a remote or regional
        community to study or take up an apprenticeship. You must
        be between 16 – 24 years of age and engaging in accredited

        The Remote Area Teaching Education Program (RATEP) is a community-based teacher education
        program that enables Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to become registered teachers or
        qualified teacher aides. The program is a partnership between TAFE Queensland North Region, James
        Cook University and the Department of Education and Training and is offered at a number of RATEP sites
        throughout Queensland as well as via an off-site model. Students can apply to enrol at TAFE Queensland
        North Region in the following courses which can be used as a direct stepping stone towards a Bachelor of
        Education at James Cook University.

Pearl Duncan Teaching Scholarships support Aboriginal
