DAY 4
Thursday 1st OCTOBER
The long winding
climb to Hebron
Starting from the lowest place on earth, this is the
longest and hardest day of the ride. The ride can only
go up and it’s a long way across the desert – including
a two hour trek (where even bikes can’t go), then
it’s uphill most of the way with breath taking views
across these ancient lands all the way to Hebron, the
most populated city in the West Bank.
The day is a real endurance test and not for the faint
hearted – your stamina will be tested as you climb
uphill almost 75km from Jericho to Hebron. 4

This is not an easy ride, it will be 5 consecutive days
in the saddle. So it is important that everyone trains
to gain experience in long distance riding before the
start of the challenge.

Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, you can pack it and take on board as extra
luggage. You must inform MAP and the airline
beforehand to help organise this. The airlines usually
apply a fee. Or if you prefer you can hire a bike
provided by the tour operator.

Can I sign up on my own?
Yes. We expect the majority of people will sign up
for Cycle Palestine on their own. You will meet a
range of new people and share this incredible
journey together.
