As the Emeritus Institute enters its 43rd year of serving the south Orange County community,
we continue to focus on developing new courses that will propel students forward on the
pursuit of lifelong learning. We will be working with our faculty to develop these new courses
based on upcoming survey results. Many new courses will be offered in Fall 2020!
Saddleback College Credit-Course Options
Many of Saddleback College’s credit classes align closely with the interests of Emeritus
Institute students. Credit courses on campus cost $46/credit, plus health and parking fees.
Nevertheless, credit-courses on campus do have many benefits far outweighing the cost of
classes. As art courses in the Emeritus Institute fill quickly, students may want to explore art
courses offered by the Division of Fine Arts and Media Technology, which include benefits
such as open studio time throughout the week, dedicated painting studios, and an engaging
sculpture curriculum.
Your Donations Help
Throughout the past year, many individuals have made direct donations to the Emeritus
Institute which have covered the costs of purchasing needed instructional and operational
supplies. Utilizing donated funds, we have purchased in-class microphones, speakers,
projectors and screens, exercise bands, and marketing materials, amongst other items.
Thank you for your continued financial support and attendance in Emeritus Institute courses.
To make a donation, please utilize the donation slip at the back of this schedule.
In Conclusion
The Emeritus Institute binds our community together, and for that reason, it is my sincerest
joy to be leading this program. We are grateful for the opportunity to have a direct impact on
so many lives, and we look forward to partnering with each of you as we create a culture of
lifelong learning in south Orange County. If you would like to share any feedback regarding
your experience in the Saddleback College Emeritus Institute, we welcome you to email us
at: scemeritus@saddleback.edu.
