March Happy Hump Day Challenge: We Have a Winner!
Congratulations to Lynn Thompson of Southeast Primary Care – West Campus, who is the March winner
of our Happy Hump Day Challenge!
Lynn correctly answered that over 66,000 regular rolls of toilet paper were used at Southeast
Hospital in 2010. Her name was chosen from among all those who submitted correct answers to the quiz.
Lynn said she learned this fun fact from going to SEhealth.org and consulting the winter 2010 issue
of our Healthier Look magazine. The Healthy Bits feature on Southeast “Going Green” reports our efforts
to conserve resources, recycle and use post-consumer paper products.
Watch for our Happy Hump Day Challenge on the first Wednesday of every month. Your correct
answer could win you a $30 gift card to Wehrenberg Theaters!

A “feel good” flash mob danced in the parking lot of the
Southeast Cancer Center on Friday afternoon, March 14,
to bring a little cheer to patients undergoing infusion
therapy. The “mob” consisted of dance students from
   Southeast Missouri State University.
Cancer patient Kevin Hand, who has been
undergoing chemotherapy for the past three months,
came up with the idea. After several four- to five-hour
treatments, he thought it would be nice to liven up the
view outside the windows of the infusion bays.
With the help of Dr. Marc Strauss from SEMO’s
Theatre and Dance Department and the choreography
of University Dancers United, the view of a parking lot
was transformed into an all-out dance show.
