13 12 MUSEUM OF THE MOON 17 May to 8 Sep – Natural History Museum SW7 Since 2016, Luke Jerram's moon has been travelling round the globe, and now the UK artist's installation arrives at the Natural History Museum, just in time for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The Museum of the Moon sees the six-metre moon illuminated with an accompanying soundscape, showing the detail of the surface as seen in NASA imagery. 17 May-8 September. THE CHILDREN’S GARDEN – NEW KEW PLAYGROUND From 18 May – Kew Gardens TW9 Great news for parents with young kids to entertain — Kew Gardens opens a new adventure playground.

As you'd expect, The Children's Garden is on a plant theme, with tall trees, colourful flowers and rustling grasses to get lost in, plus waterlily stepping stones and wormhole slides.

CHELSEA IN BLOOM 20 to 25 May – Across Chelsea Under The Sea is theme for this year's Chelsea In Bloom, a free flower festival on the streets of Chelsea. Shops, bars and restaurants around the area erect floral window displays, arches and models, making it something of an Instagrammer's paradise. Here's a look at last year's festival, which had a 'summer of love' theme to coincide with the royal wedding. SOMETHING DIFFERENT BELGRAVIA IN BLOOM 20 to 25 May – Across Belgravia While Chelsea has Chelsea in Bloom, nearby neighbourhood Belgravia has... Belgravia In Bloom. It's a similar event, with floral window displays, arches and installations popping up around the area, but over here, the 2019 theme is 'the language of flowers'.
