    Wedding Anniversary at Pemulwuy
Don and Ellen at Pemulwuy recently celebrated their 68th
wedding anniversary! The happy couple were gifted a
wonderful bouquet of flowers with a card that detailed all
their life events including the day of their wedding, the birth
of their children and grandchildren, and many of their lives’
achievements like being a part of the Olympics in Sydney.
The happy couple had a wonderful celebratory lunch
at the Home in a beautifully decorated dining room.

Don and Ellen, we all wish you many more days side-
by-side making every day the best it can be together!

Out and About

                                     Beechwood Fishing Trip
It was decided by some of the gents at Beechwood
Aged Care that a ‘Boys Day’ was well overdue. The
bus was loaded up and out the group headed to Blues
Point, named after Billie Blue, a convict transported in
1801 for stealing a bag of sugar, for a spot of fishing!!!

The highlight of the day was when Leonard reeled in a fish albeit
a very small one just as a group of children passed. The children
were so excited and Leonard was dishing out high fives all round.
It was such a lovely moment for everyone.
The group enjoyed a great day out sitting back and watching the
waves lapping the edge of the shore, however next time the plan
is to go to a location where bigger fish are biting.
Special thank you to Via, the Beechwood bus driver who brings
along all his fishing equipment for the group to use.

Expressions of the
Heart at Carinya
The team out at Carinya in South
Australia are certainly feeling
the love. General Manager Rita
Powell was receiving so many
compliments about the staff that
she wanted to do more than just
verbally pass them on.
Resident Doris kindly made a
treasure box so that residents
in the Home can write on a
heart, sharing a compliment
or kind word about their hard
working staff. At the end of the
month Rita opens up the box
and shares them with the team,
it would appear that it won’t be
long before Rita will need to
get a bigger treasure box.
