· Film a minimum of two weeks in the Canaries, interiors or exteriors,
except for:
- Animation: 10% or 15% of production time in the Canary Islands
- Documentaries: no minimum time
- Short films: 50% of shooting time in the Canary Islands
- TV Series: 20% of the season to be filmed in the Canary IslandsIncentives, excellent tax benefits The best in Europe Canaries Audiovisual Work Certificate • Hire local professionals: Minimum one head of department, a lead or support actor resident in the Canary Islands • If co-production, the Canary producer must contribute over 20% of the production’s cost • If financial co-production, the Canary co-producer must contribute between 10% and 25% of the production’s cost • The production company based in the Canary Islands has to apply for the certificate and must be listed in the Canaries Audiovisual Companies Registry

• Local production or service production company must be tax resident in the Canary Islands
• The total cost of production will be at least 2,000,000€
• The Spanish film incentive 20% deduction with a limit of 3 million € is improved in the Canary Islands
