Payment Information
If your student is enrolled in Aftercare the day of the desired ACE class, there is
no additional fee. If your student is not enrolled in Aftercare, and you have
submitted a sign-up form, you will be billed through your student’s TADS
account. Sign up soon as space is limited!
What are ACE Programs?
ACE (After Class Enrichment) Programs give Grace students the opportunity to
explore new and exciting activities after school. With different offerings each
term, our students can experience a range of classes from dance to soccer to
cooking! Classes are led by members of Grace’s own staff as well as a number of
qualified instructors from the DC Metro Area. Come join the fun!
Who can register?
All Grace students can sign up for ACE programs. Classes are open to contracted
aftercare students and also to students who do not attend aftercare. Students can
sign up for more than one class! Please be mindful that some classes may indicate
a specific age range. Grace will provide a healthy snack in conjunction with
aftercare. The students will be dismissed from aftercare to their ACE course. After
ACE classes students will return to aftercare or be dismissed to parents.
How do I register?
All students may sign up for ACE Programs by filling in the attached sheet and
returning it to Shalonda Newman, Director of Aftercare, by Friday, February 1st.

Description: VEFC is a truly unique club that focuses exclusively on developing
players’ individual skills. VEFC brings proven, international training technique to
help your child become the very best football player they can be. By focusing on
player development instead of team development, VEFC’s time tested approach
to training will build the next generation of soccer players.
Age: Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten
Day: Mondays 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4 , 3/11, 3/18
Time: 3:50-4:35 pm
Cost: $110 includes 6 classes
Age: Kindergarten-Grade 2
Day: Tuesdays 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12
Time: 3:50-4:50 pm
Cost: $110 includes 6 classes
Program: Robotics and Visual Coding with Lego EV3
Description: Powered by the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education Ev3 Base Set and
Software, our Lego Robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego with
programming to manipulate and program your own personal robot. Learn how to
use the simple, but powerful software to create commands with drag and-drop
visual programming. Configure different sensors that track motion, light, & touch
to create the ultimate robot! Students will work together as a small team of
young engineers to build and program their designs. This class is great for children
who are hands on and like working together in small teams.
Age: Grades 3-5
Day: Wednesdays 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13
Time: 3:50-4:50 pm
Cost: $122 includes 6 classes
Program: Whiz Kids
Description: Join us on a science discovery mission in chemistry! Experiment with
everyday materials for a bubbling and brewing good time. There will be some
explosions, a few creations, and a whole lot of discoveries. Don’t miss out on this
mission!
Age: Preschool & Prekindergarten
Day: Wednesdays 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13
Time: 3:50-4:50 pm
Cost: $100 includes 6 classesProgram: Robotics and Visual Coding with Lego Wedo
Description: Powered by the LEGO® Education Wedo Base Set and Software, our
Jr. Lego Robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego with programming to
manipulate and program your own personal robots. This class is tailored to
younger children who want to learn the basics of visual programming. Students
create commands for their robots to follow by using an application with a
drag-and-drop interface that is visually simple to use, but capable of complex
instructions. Students learn the importance of teamwork by working together
with a partner in order to accomplish the build assignment for the day.
Age: Kindergarten-Grade 2
Day: Thursdays 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14
Time: 3:50-4:50 pm
Cost: $122 includes 6 classes
Program: Chess
Description: Chess with our resident chess teacher, Father Buck. Play with friends
and Father Buck as you challenge your critical thinking skills. This chess club will
give beginners a chance to learn the game and experienced players an
opportunity to develop their strategy through instruction on basic rules and
moves, chess problems, and many games against others of comparable skill and
experience.
Age: Grades 1-5
Day: Fridays 2/8, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22
Time: 3:50-4:50 pm
Cost: $100 includes 6 classes
ACE Programs Registration
DUE BY February 1, 2019Please check the classes for which you are registering your student. All registered
participants will receive a confirmation email. Aftercare is available for all ACE
program students after their classes conclude. If your student is not contracted
for aftercare, a drop-in fee will apply. Any student not picked up at 4:50 pm will
be admitted to aftercare, at which time the drop-in fee will be charged.
