Subsidy: Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements

Summary: Any businesses or Group Training Organisation that engages an Australian Apprentice may
be eligible for a subsidy of 50% of wages paid to an apprentice, in an effort to build a pipeline of skilled
workers to support sustained economic recovery after COVID-19.

Summary: The JobMaker Hiring Credit will give businesses incentives to take on additional young job
seekers. Eligible employers will be able to claim $200 a week for each additional eligible employee they
hire aged 16 to 29 years old; and $100 a week for each additional eligible employee aged 30 to 35 years
old. New jobs created until 6 October 2021 will attract the JobMaker Hiring Credit for up to 12 months
from the date the new position is created.

Summary: There are two kinds of AgriStarter loans – first farmer loans and succession loans.
You can apply for a first farmer loan if you are seeking to purchase, establish or develop a farm business
in which you hold or will hold the sole interest or a controlling interest.
You can apply for a succession loan if your farm business is undertaking or has undertaken succession
planning.

Summary: The reoriented EMDGs will provide greater upfront funding certainty so exporters can plan
their offshore promotional activities with confidence.
Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) will be able to apply for grants of up to $770,000 per applicant, and
over up to eight years (not necessarily consecutively) for eligible promotional activities. To be eligible,
SMEs will need to be export-ready and have a turnover of less than $20 million.
Grants will be available in three stages called tiers, designed to provide different levels of support to
SMEs as they grow their export markets at the different stages of their export journey.

Tax relief: Coronavirus payroll tax relief
