               Roxbury Lady Gaels Travel Softball 2019 Open Tryouts, Ages 4-16
               Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Dell Avenue Field #1. This is for the travel division
               Roxbury Softball Association. For ages 8 and under (born 2010 and younger), tryouts
               are 9:30 - 10:30 am.For ages 10 and under (born 2008-2010), tryouts are 10:30 -
               11:30 am.Please email roxburysoftballassociation@gmail.com if you are interested
              in trying out or if you have any questions.
               Soccer Referee Course
               For new referees only. The Roxbury Soccer Club will be hosting a Grade 9 Referee
               Certification Course on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Senior Center at 72 Ey-
               land Avenue, Succasunna. The course runs from 8:30am - 5pm. To be eligible to
               be a referee, you must be at least 14 years of age by the date of the test. Please
contact Roxbury Soccer Club Referee Coordinator at marcus3@optimum.net with questions.

         Recreation Children’s Bowling League
         Bumper Bowling for kids in K-3rd; Regular Bowling for kids in 4th-8th. Dates are now
         through March 27th, 4pm-5:15pm at Circle Bowl. 21 sessions of two games each. Register
         in-person only at Rox Rec. $10 to register, and $6 per week.

        Fall Basketball
        Registration is open for Rec Basketball program, for children ages K-12th grade. K-1 and 2nd
        grade clinics begin in October. Programs for 3rd through 12th grades begin early December.

            Program runs on Thursdays beginning October 11th, 5:30pm-6:30pm at Horseshoe Lake

Roxbury Senior Citizens Club
                The club meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Open to all
                Roxbury residents who are 55 years of age or older. Meetings are held at the Horse-
                shoe Lake Seniors Center on Eyland Avenue. Doors open at 10am for socialization
                and refreshments. Meetings start at 11am.For club information call 973-398-3428.

               Roxbury Social Services
               The Roxbury Food Pantry is accepting frozen turkey donations for Thanksgiving by
               November 14th. Items in need are: paper towels, tissues, napkins, toilet paper, dish
               detergent, and laundry detergent. Roxbury Social Services is now collecting holiday
gift donations, such as new toys, gift cards and teen gifts. Please visit

            Buy-A-Brick Campaign to Help Improve Main Street
            Roxbury Township’s Main Street Committee invites you to help support their fundraising
            efforts to continue the beautification of Main Street in Succasunna. Memorial/honorary
            engraved bricks are still available for sale. The bricks are installed in the courtyard
            surrounding the Victorian Clock by the Gazebo at the Library. Remember a loved one.
            Honor your family’s name on historic Main Street. Salute your graduate! For order form,

         Clean Communities Fall Litter Clean-Up
         Our Clean Communities program is looking for individuals, groups and organizations to
         help with litter clean up throughout our town this fall. Please contact

                        E-Resources-Digital Downloading & Tech Help
                        Learn how to download electronic books and magazines with an
                        individualized ½ hour appointment. One-on-one basic computer and mobile
device instruction is now being offered by appointment only to Roxbury residents. Call the Roxbury

           Vendor/Crafters Needed Roxbury’s Home For The Holidays Street Festival
           Calling all crafters/vendors/artists! Registration is now open for Roxbury’s 4th annual
           Home For The Holidays street festival to be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from
           11am to 4pm.For registration form, go to www.roxburynj.us/holidays. Early bird
           discount available on booth fee. This outdoor festival on Main Street in Succasunna
features holiday shopping with vendors/crafters, live musical entertainment, Santa Land (meet
Santa and take picture with him), food trucks, Irish dancers jigging in the street, free carriage rides

            Description: Does trick-or-treating s-scare you? And those giant h-haunted houses?? Then join the
            rest of the town for trick or treating fun! Set-up your ‘house’ at the track, and hand out candy to
the trick-or-treaters while your family trick-or-treats. Trick-or-Treating takes place around the track at
Roxbury High School. Roxbury Residents only! Raindate is Monday, October 29th.
To participate, you need to:

    • On Thursday, October 25th, bring your house to RHS Track to set up between 6pm-6:20pm
    ✋ Bring candy to hand out to the trick-or-treaters
    • You must have a house and candy in order to participate in trick-or-treating and games

        Event: Moonlight History and Mystery Cemetery Tour
        Time: 6pm-8pm
        Location: First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna, 99 Main St., Succasunna
Description: Back by popular demand! See the final resting place of Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers,
Lenape people, a NJ Governor and many of the families who have streets named after them throughout
Roxbury (Condit, Salmon, Meeker, etc.). Hear stories told by costumed “ghost” characters speaking
graveside under the moonlight. Come explore the hallowed grounds of this historic church which served as a
hospital for soldiers during the Revolutionary War (General George Washington came to visit) and where U.S.
President Martin Van Buren came to worship with NJ Governor Mahlon Dickerson. Tours leave every 5
minutes, rain or shine. Please bring a flashlight. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 on day of event and
include cider and donuts after tour. There will be new gravesite characters and some spooky surprises too!
Great for Scouts, youth groups, history buffs and anyone who likes getting into the Halloween spirit.

                Description: The Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHC) and the Lake Hopatcong Commission
(LHC), will be coordinating with the four lake municipalities, two counties, the state and local groups to
organize hundreds of volunteers for 2018 Lake Hopatcong Community during the 60" drawdown on Lake

Roxbury Community School – Kids Programs (2018/2019)

                Colorguard for Grades 5-9
                Register now for the 2018/2019 Colorguard program through the Roxbury Community
                School. This year-long program will focus on learning 2-3 minute competitive colorguard
                routines using rifles and flags. Students will learn basic and intermediate colorguard skills
                that will be showcased at dance competitions in the spring. No previous experience is
                necessary but a strong dance background is encouraged. This program is open to all Roxbury
                and non-Roxbury residents. Tuition cost is $300 per student. For more information and to

                         Kujenga and Robotics After-School for Grades 1-6
                         Register your elementary student for Kujenga robotics and coding classes through the
                         Roxbury Community School. Kujenga is an educational entity designed to bring
                         robotics, coding, engineering and science skills to all students in order to prepare
                         them for the technology-driven future. Kujenga is here to open a world of
                         imagination and creativity for your child while they learn design and engineering
principles as well as science, math, and coding. Tuition is $80 per child for this 6-week program. Visit

Mad Science After-School for Grades 1-6
                             Registrations are now being accepted for fall Mad Science after-school programs
                             at the five elementary schools in district. Join their hands-on, one-hour science
                             programs that are themed around a particular area of science. This fall Grades
                             1-4 will see if they are smarter than a mad scientist and Lincoln/Roosevelt
students will learn Brixology which sets the found for the next generation of engineers! Cost is $95 per

NJEA Conference Camp for Ages 5-10
             Looking for more Mad Science and something to do over the NJEA Break? Then look no
             further! Register your child now for the NJEA Conference Camp for NASA Academy and Future
             Space Explorers! Participants will get ready to touch, see, hear, smell, and taste what space
             is all about! Tuition cost is $95 per student for this two-day camp at Roxbury High School.
             This program is open to all Roxbury and non-Roxbury Residents. Find out more and to register

                   Sun Do Kwan - Tae Kwon Do
                   Enjoy a special tuition rate through the Roxbury Community School! Join SunDoKwan to
                   learn Tae Kwon Do taught by traditional certified Tae Kwon Do masters. Groups are
                   separated by age and experience. The minimum age to participate is 4 years old. Register
                   through the Roxbury Community School by paying the $15 registration fee, then print and
                   take your receipt to SunDoKwan to take advantage of the special rate! Many start dates
                   and time available for these 6-week clinics. This program is open to all Roxbury and non-

             Young Rembrandts After-School for Grades K-6
             Register your child now for Young Rembrandts’ 6 and 8--week programs that teach the basics of
             drawing in a fun confidence-boosting way. Schedules are now posted for fall, winter, and
             spring classes so sign up now to save your child’s spot! Fall tuition for the 6-week program is
             $92 per student and includes the cost of materials, instruction and fun! Visit www.roxbury.org/

Little Hands with Young Rembrandts for PreK-Kindergarten
                                   Fall in Love with Young Rembrandts by encouraging your child’s enthusiasm
                                   for drawing! Young Rembrandts introduces drawing lessons that will excite
                                   your budding artist. Learning to draw basic shapes is an essential building
                                   block for every artist. Our lady bug and gumball machine provide excellent
                                   practice for drawing circle shapes. From there, our lessons will become
                                   more challenging. The clown puppet and Frankenstein monster are great
                                   introductions to character drawings. Other drawings like the delicious
                                   candy bag and beautiful fall scene will strengthen your child’s

                           workshop will introduce you to the growing field of voice over. This two and half
                           hour workshop from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Roxbury High School is designed as an
                           upbeat and realistic assessment of the voice over industry including areas of
                           growth, unique opportunities, common pitfalls, and mistakes. Register now for

                         Yoga for Beginners – Join this beginner class that introduces you to the fundamental
