For Weylandts, The Villas is the ideal canvas to showcase our unique approach to turning houses
into homes. For Home Décor Expo 2018, we created a look that both expresses the art of good
living and ties in effortlessly with the inherent characteristics of The Villas' inspiring architectural
design. We call this look RAW CONTEMPORARY.

s South Africa's leading furniture and homeware store,
Weylandts' aesthetic is about combining clean,
confident design with the raw authentic textures of
mother nature. When Weylandts Kramerville's team first
saw pictures of The Villas in Waterfall Country Estate, we couldn't
wait to get our hands on it. What struck us about the architectural
design was the restrained and intelligent use of lines and the way
texture is used to create visual interest and depth.

In collaboration with Weylandts Spaces and the Visual Merchan-
dising team, Weylandts Kramerville's first step was to define the

Even though these characteristics, along with the spectacular use of natural light, gave

It's all in our name; Versatile Interiors. It’s not overtly opulent and neither is it simplistically bare.
Taking inspiration from our rich African landscapes, this home reflects a richness of well-being
whilst paying homage to the simpler joys in life. The concept was to take natural African themes
such as zebra skin, hand painted prints and bold African floral prints – and to combine them into
a sleek, stylish interior. A versatile space.

we collaborated with Classic Bond and Kennedy & Co
               to achieve this look.
From the onset, we understood the interior volumes of this building
and there was a drive to fill it with furnishings that is both pleasing
to the eye, as well as comfortable to live in. The final product is
incredibly close to the original mood board that we submitted,
where the style was themed as 'industrial luxury' with a distinct
African flair. Hertex supplied a striking zebra motive wallpaper that

                                                      and SOPHISTICATION
Refined, contemporary interiors with a lived-in warmth. That's what Tiggs Crozet's clients have
come to expect from this Joburg-based interior designer. She's renowned for an aesthetic that
is stream-lined and modern, yet never overly clinical. “I'm drawn to contemporary, uncluttered
spaces that have an intrinsic sense of quality,” she explains. “And I always add my special take
on comfort and practicality.”

hen Tiggs first saw this unit at The Villas, it was the
semi-industrial feel that really appealed to her.
“The shell has a lot of exposed concrete, with steel
railing and beams. Right away I knew how I could
enhance and offset those materials. But more than that, the interior
layout is extremely well designed.” Upstairs, three en-suite
bedrooms, a study, pyjama lounge and loft room provide abundant
space. On the ground floor, the open plan living, dining and kitchen
spaces open out to a roomy patio and pool. It's year-round living at
its best, with a good-sized garden that makes this ideal for young
families and executives.
Tiggs' hallmark palette is a mix of quiet, sophisticated neutrals. The

home's existing finishes proved to be the perfect backdrop for her elegant, layered
scheme. “The flooring is a mix of grey oak laminate upstairs, and a polished marble-look
