We’re planning your

It is difficult to imagine a more idyllic English setting for Christmas
or New Year celebrations. A luxurious Mansion House with superb
accommodation, fabulous restaurants and a Country Club with an
opulent Spa surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens, lakes and
parkland is the perfect choice.
You are invited to take time to relax and enjoy a traditional
country house Christmas at Luton Hoo, with excellent hospitality
and a full itinerary of spectacular Christmas entertainment for all
the family. There are three or four night programmes available
from the 23rd through to the 27th December.
The periods either side of Christmas and New Year are often an
ideal time for an extended stay, either before the festivities begin,
that piece of calm between Christmas and New Year or indeed
for a well deserved break after the New Year celebrations!
And for New Year’s Eve, we have three contrasting events for
your celebration, from a Gourmet Dinner or Dinner Dance to
our Family Disco.
Christmas is a very special time for children and we make
sure we provide everything they would hope for, with welcome
packs, a visit from Father Christmas, family swim times in the pool,
children’s cinema, story time and so much more.
Throughout December, both the Wernher Restaurant and Adam’s
Brasserie will be serving festive fayre. This is an ideal opportunity to join

friends, family or colleagues to celebrate the festive season. Guests that
aren’t staying at the hotel are also welcome to join us for sumptuous

O Transport will be available if you wish to attend Midnight Mass in Harpenden and then

MORNING
O After a relaxed breakfast, take a gentle stroll in the grounds, explore the estate on one
of our bicycles or sit and relax in the comfort of our lounges.
O Father Christmas will make a special appearance down the marble staircase to give
out gifts to all guests.
O Enjoy a relaxing swim in the Country Club.
AFTERNOON
O A traditional Christmas lunch will be served in the Wernher Restaurant and
Grinling Gibbons for all guests, before retiring to the lounges or taking part in the
afternoon’s activities.
O Children are spoilt for choice during the afternoon with children’s cinema
and story time.
O You can take part in a fun quiz for the whole family, watch the Queen’s
Christmas message and enjoy tea and Christmas cake in the beautiful Pillared
Hall or Drawing Room.
EvENING
O In the evening, a Christmas buffet dinner will be served from 7.30pm until 9pm in
the lounges. This features a selection of hot and cold dishes, with a choice of the finest
seafood and local ingredients.
O For night owls, there will be a snooker competition.

O Today we would encourage you to take the opportunity to explore the estate. You
have a choice of walks around the formal, topiary and rockery gardens or you can
venture deep into the picturesque woodlands. Discover our lakeside trails and track
our array of wildlife. Come prepared with the right footwear and warm clothing.
O On Lion’s Lawn we have traditional Boxing Day sports for you to try, such as clay
pigeon shooting, crossbow and archery.
O Enjoy a rejuvenating swim in the Country Club. Alternatively, book a spa treatment

AFTERNOON
O For those wishing to learn more about Luton Hoo, join the history tour of the

Your Christmas and New Year programmes are full of festive fun and activities, but with
a few extra days before or after, you can enjoy a wonderful holiday of contrasts.
Luton Hoo’s 1,065 acre estate deserves to be explored. Discover the flowing parkland and lakes,
landscaped in the mid 18th century by ‘Capability’ Brown. The woodlands and fascinating
