TEAM ADMINISTRATION
• Team Setup:
     – Teamlink – request access from the teamlink site
     – Access/Bank/Website Setup
     – Parents should pay by Cheque to the team account for audit trail purposes (no etranfser to
       personal accounts and one large payment to team account)
     – Request a Bank Letter via the Coach Managers Page (48 hrs)
     – Sign into email address (www.gmail.com) with assigned email
          •   ie atom-a2@ridgemeadowshockey.com

• Rosters
     – Teamsnap roster completed by Association
     – HCR official roster – have Manager send in team roster
• Special Event Sanctions (http://www.bchockey.net/RiskManagement/SpecialEvents.aspx)
• Team Snap for Team Management (privacy of personal details)

TEAM BUDGET
• Team budgets to be submitted by Oct. 15 for review & approval
   –   Use template provided on our website
   –   Coaches & spouses cannot be signing authority
   –   Form on Website to request permission letter for bank account
   –   (https://www.ridgemeadowshockey.com/coachmanagerteam)
   –   Include certifications for team officials (team expense) < $500

• Referee’s
   – Cheques for season are here TODAY!
   – Ref Payment Records – NO LONGER REQUIRED

ICE ALLOCATION
• Ice policy can be found on website
   – https://www.ridgemeadowshockey.com/ice
   – Please turn back ice you can’t use asap
   – All team ice-times MUST be on RMMHA provided ice. Private ice is not to
     be used (for insurance reasons)

• Open ice will become available

• Lots of choice – hoodies, 3rd Jersey
   – All A & C teams share the RUSTLERS nickname

INJURIES
• Please ensure you are following correct procedure
  relating to injured players
   – Does not matter if injured in hockey or otherwise
       • Need to ensure players are fit to play

TEAM OFFICIAL CERTIFICATIONS
•   ALL coaches (HC & AC)
     –   Coach 1, 2 or Development 1
     –   Respect in Sport (expires every 4 years)
     –   Criminal Record Check (expires every 2 years)
     –   CATT – Concussion Awareness Training
•   Team Manager
     – Respect in Sport (expires every 4 years)
     – Criminal Record Check (expires every 2 years)
     – CATT – Concussion Awareness Training
•   HCSP
     –   Respect in Sport (expires every 4 years)
     –   Criminal Record Check (expires every 2 years)
     –   HCSP Program (expires every 3 years)

ON ICE HELPERS
• Can be adults or RMMHA players
   – Consult DHD prior to allowing anyone on the ice
   – This is NOT extra ice for your older kids!
• Players Bantam & below must wear FULL gear
• Players Midget & up must wear helmet with cage, neck guard
  & gloves
• Adults must wear CSA helmet & be registered as On-ice
  helper
• Everyone on-ice must have chin strap fastened
DRESSING ROOMS
• Coaches are to remain in or near dressing room
   – Make sure room is clean before leaving building
   – Make the kids responsible!
   – Treat ALL facilities with respect

• ZERO tolerance for bullying, alcohol, tobacco, drugs,
  vaping
• No Cell Phones in Dressing Room – have players leave
  them with parents
APPROPRIATE CONDUCT
• We are all ‘passionate’ about hockey
• It is important to conduct ourselves in an appropriate
  way at ALL times
   –   Be respectful to game officials at ALL times
   –   Be respectful to team officials at ALL times
   –   Treat our facilities with respect, as well as facilities in other communities
   –   Be Proud to be a Ridge Meadows Rustler

• This applies to our families & extended families as well
ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR & CODE OF CONDUCT

• Please make sure you & your athletes underst&:
   – Racial Slurs, Homophobic slurs, etc. are punished SEVERELY
   – Minimum 30 day suspension

• Each team must have every player & parent sign a code
  of conduct
   – Already Collected, as m&ated by BC Hockey

• All player HCSP forms completed through ePact
SOCIAL MEDIA
• As social media platforms grows, new challenges arise
   – Please use social media to make positive comments
   – All RMMHA members are reminded that they will be held accountable for
     comments they make via any medium, including social media

• Please avoid inflammatory, inappropriate, disrespectful
  comments, as they will l& you in front of the discipline
  committee
TEAM DISCIPLINE / SUSPENSIONS

TEAM DISCIPLINE
• Internal team discipline guidelines
   – Coaches are to use a progressive discipline approach
   – Can be as simple as sitting for a shift
   – Maximum penalty without VP approval is sitting for the remainder of
      a game
        • Substantial incidents must be reported to your VP
   – Coaches should talk to parents immediately after the game to inform
      them of the reason for discipline
DISCIPLINE
• Incident Report can be obtained from Risk Manager
• All incidents should be reported to Risk Manager & VP of
  A
• At VP discretion, may be referred to Discipline
  Committee
   – Expect firm & substantial disciplinary actions
SUSPENSIONS
• Minimum suspensions
   – Ensure you familiarize yourself with BC Hockey rulings
   – Available on PCAHA website

• Some suspensions may receive supplemental discipline
  from RMMHA
• When in doubt, keep the player out
