 Italian Cookie Making
 (Ages 16+) Lena will share some of her traditional cookie recipes and cooking traditions.
 These cookies are great for gift giving or for the family to enjoy. First evening will be a
 demonstration of dough preparation and handling, plus preparation of the filling. Ingredient
 list and instructions will be given. Second class will be a working session (in groups) to pre-
 pare and finish the cookies.

WHAT ARE SPECIAL POPULATION PROGRAMS?
           Parks and Recreation offers recreational activities for people with developmental disabilities. The goals are to improve or main-
          tain physical, cognitive, emotional & social functions and promote healthy, independent leisure lifestyles. Year-round programs
          are offered in classes, events, clubs, & camps. The programs stress choice, involvement & self-direction while offering recre-
          ational experiences, new challenges & socializing in a safe environment. To ensure safety & enjoyment of others in recreational
programs, participants are expected to display appropriate behavior. The success of all recreation activities depends not only on good
planning & instruction, but the conduct of participants. Appropriate behavior includes the ability to follow instructions & interact with others
in a socially acceptable manner. Must be mobility capable & able to attend to personal needs. It is to be noted that the annual, non-
