On behalf of the Rally organising committee and myself, it gives me
great pleasure to welcome you all, to this our 38th Irish National
Vintage Motorcycle Assembly.
The Munster Motorcycle and Car Club has traditionally catered for
all types motor sport, Cars, Karting, Motocross as well as Veteran
and Vintage motoring. This year our club has reached a crossroads
and has now divided into four separate clubs, each catering for their
own specific interests.
Our new club will be "The Munster Vintage Motor Cycle & Car
Club".
We want to assure you that in our new club we will be continuing
as before, holding our events on the same dates and in the same
format and we look forward to your continued support for many
years to come.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors and to ask
you to support them, not alone during the Rally, but also during the
rest of the year.
We also have had a long association with the Kenmare Bay Hotel,
and I would like to thank Terry O'Doherty and his staff for their
hospitality down through the years.

opportunity to study the development of the motor cycle
from its infancy to the fully grown up machine of to-day.
Most of the details of the machines and riders have been
supplied by the riders themselves. The club, whilst
confident of the knowledge and modesty of the
competitors, cannot accept responsibility for the
accuracy or otherwise of the information.
Neither can the Club accept responsibility for any
accidents injury or damage to spectators. Please give
the riders plenty of room at all times, especially
when they are starting their machines by the time
honoured "run and bump" method.
