Policy and Guidelines for the Bellwood-Antis
Community Pool
*The pool will be open Sunday-Saturday from Noon to 7:00 PM, weather
permitting.
*The pool will be closed due to inclement weather or mechanical
breakdowns beyond our control.
*If the pool is open and a storm comes through the area, the pool will be
cleared until the storm is over. (15 minutes after the last thunder is heard.)
*During peak times of the day when the pool is crowded, we may arrange
10 minute adult swims if necessary at the supervisor’s discretion.
*The lifeguards have complete authority at all times.
*Children under 9 must be accompanied by a parent, unless prior
arrangements have been made. (child must pass a swim test consisting of
swimming one length of the pool without stopping, floating for one minute,
and treading water for one minute.) The test will be given by a lifeguard.
*NO DISPOSABLE DIAPERS or Depends permitted in the pool
*All rules for the baby slide must be followed. Children must use slide feet
first and must go down in a sitting position. The area underneath the slide
must remain clear of people. See the lifeguards with questions about slide
rules. Please understand that these rules are in place for your child’s
safety.

Monday, May 28- All current military members or Veterans will be admitted for free (must have proof of service). Friday, June 8- Buddy Day (Members may bring a friend for $2.00) Sunday, June 17- Fathers’ Day Special ($2.00 admission for all non-members) Saturday, June 23- School’s Out Splash Hop Luau with DJ (7-10 PM) This special splash hop is sponsored by Operation Our Town and Hollidaysburg Area YMCA and is FREE to pool members and Hollidaysburg YMCA members. Public rate is $5.00 Sunday, July 8- $2.00 Sunday Special: All non-members admitted for $2.00 Wednesday, July 11, 18, 25, and Aug. 1- Summer Fun Splash Hops with DJ (7-10 PM) Admission for each Splash Hop: $3.00 for pool-members or $5.00 for public
Facility Rental Information Having a picnic or a party? Let us provide the place and some swimming fun! Pool rental (private after hours): We rent the pool after hours for parties or gatherings of any kind! Showers, Birthday parties, graduation parties, family reunions, etc.! You may choose to rent the pool for 1, 2, or 3 hours! $75.00 per hour for residents ($110.00 per hour for non-residents) for up to 75 participants. Lifeguards will be provided! You may bring in your cake, food, etc. and use the picnic tables and lounge chairs around the pool area! Some people choose to bring in a DJ to play music for the party! We are available after hours on any night of the week, but the pool books up fast! Call Heidi at the pool (742-7662) for more information or to schedule your after-hours party today!!!
Pavilion Rentals
The Community Park has 4 pavilions located along the banks of the Bells Gap
Run River. The warmer months of the year provide a great time to consider
renting a pavilion for family reunions, birthday parties, or other gatherings! Park
hours are dawn to dusk. Reservations can be made by calling the Antis Township
Office before May 26 at 742-7361, or the Bellwood Pool Office at 742-7662
after May 26. Prices are as follows:
Amato Large Pavilion #1
Electric, water, grill, cement floor, picnic tables
Holds approximately 150 guests
$80.00 per day or $20.00 per hour
McCaulley Medium Pavilion #2
Electric, access to water, grill, gravel floor, picnic tables
Holds approximately 60 guests
$60.00 per day or $15.00 per hour
Kensinger Small Pavilion #3
Grill, picnic tables, Holds approximately 25 guests
$30.00 per day or $10.00 per hour
Himes Small Pavilion #4
Electric, cement floor
$25.00 per day or $7.50
If you rent a pavilion for a company picnic, reunion, birthday party, or another special
event, we are offering a special $2.00 discounted day rate per swimmer or patron of the

Swim Lesson Schedule Summer 2018
Residents: $47.00 per session Non-residents: $67.00 per session
Session 1: Monday/Wednesday (morning classes): June 11-June 27
Tuesday/Thursday (evening classes): June 12- June 28
Session 2: Monday/Wednesday (morning classes): July 2-July 23 (No class July 4)
Tuesday/Thursday (evening classes): July 3-July 19
Session 3: Monday/Wednesday (morning classes): July 25-August 13
Tuesday/Thursday (evening classes): July 24-August 9
*Progressive class sessions (ages 6 and up) are available Monday and Wednesday mornings
10:45-11:15 AM or Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5:30-6:00 PM. Levels include: Polliwog
(beginner), Guppy, Minnow, Fish, Flying Fish, and Shark (advanced).
*Preschool class sessions (ages 3-5) are available Monday and Wednesday mornings 11:15-11:45
AM or Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00-6:30 PM. Preschool levels include: Pike (beginner),
Eel, Ray, and Starfish (advanced).
*All classes must have a minimum of 3 participants on the roster in order to run the class.
*All sessions contain 6 classes. Each class is 30 minutes in length. Register early to reserve your spot!
*Pre-registration for all sessions can be made after May 26 by calling the Bellwood Pool between the
hours of 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM at 742-7662.
PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS
We will offer private swim lessons for any age. Private lessons will be
scheduled upon instructor availability. Call Heidi at 742-7662 for
information or to schedule a lesson.
30 minute lesson- $23 for pool-members or $35 for public
(Set of 5) Half-hour private lessons- $80 for pool-members or $119 for publicSwim Lesson Parent Information
*Parents are asked to stay in the locker room area or the grass area. Please do not sit on the pool
deck during lesson time. This helps your child to remain focused on the lesson and the instructor. Our
instructors are well-trained. Trust us to guide your child into the aquatic environment by teaching safety,
swimming skills, and water enjoyment!
*If classes are canceled due to inclement weather, you will be notified via phone if possible, and a make-
up class will be scheduled as soon as possible.

Concession Stand
Our concession stand is open every day, weather and attendance
permitting, from the hours of 12:00-5:00 PM.
We offer a variety of reasonably priced snacks and lunch or
dinner items, including popcorn, hot pretzels, corn dogs, pizza rolls,
and candy!
Cool off in the hot sun with a can of soda, a bottle of water,
