PHOTOGRAPHY POLICIES AND RATES

Terre Bleu Lavender Farm offers a beautiful and one of a kind setting for personal photography,
commercial photography, and filming. Our farm has been featured in various publications and shoots
including: Wedding Bells Magazine, LCBO Food and Drink, Our Homes Magazine, the Globe and Mail, The
Marilyn Denis Show, as well as various blogs and websites.
We ask that all photographers and clients read and respect the following photography policies and fee
schedules in their entirety. Doing so will allow us to continue to maintain and operate the farm while
attempting to meet the photography demand in a fair and consistent manner. After carefully reading
over the policies and rates, please visit page six of this document to learn how to purchase a permit.
PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION TYPES
AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY
We welcome amateur photographers capturing casual snapshots taken as memories, souvenirs, or for
personal use during public hours at no additional charge. However portraiture, photos for blogs or
professional or semi-professional social media use, and any pictures taken for any kind of commercial
use require a permit in advance.
PERSONAL/PORTRAITURE PHOTOGRAPHY
All PERSONAL/PORTRAITURE PHOTOGRAPHY - portraiture, photos for blogs, professional or semi-
professional social media use, and any pictures taken for any kind of commercial use is strictly
prohibited on Terre Bleu Property at any time without a photography permit. This permit applies to
standard requests including, but not limited to engagement, wedding, family, anniversary, special events,
influencers/bloggers and/or group photos.
Terre Bleu Personal/Portraiture Photo Permits are $275 + HST = $310.75, for two consecutive hours of
photography, and are available for purchase online. Purchased permits are non-refundable. These
permits allow pictures to be taken outdoors in public areas of the farm for two consecutive hours or less;
no alternate rate is available for shorter periods at this time.
COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
All COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY - all photography outside of the personal/portraiture description
above as well as all drone requests. This includes portraiture for professional use, student projects,
portfolio shoots, editorial, fashion, or commercial photography or filming, or any photography or filming
that is not for personal/family use.
VIOLATION OF POLICIES:
Terre Bleu reserves the right to decide if a photographer is conducting activity deemed to be
professional/commercial in nature. Individuals or groups caught violating Terre Bleu Photography
Policies will be asked to suspend their photographic activities immediately and may be escorted off the
property, banned from all future re-entry, and may be charged with trespass.

HORSE MODEL RENTAL $ 150 + HST per • Horses are available to be rented during
horse for Professional/Commercial photo shoots only. Horses
30 minutes at the start of 30 minutes are booked individually with each session lasting up
your photography session to one half hour and must occur at the start of your
scheduled session
• Horses are groomed prior to your scheduled shoot

• Clients may not sit on the horses and any improper
treatment of the horse will result in the end of the
session immediately. The handler will decide what
can and cannot be done with the horse

rather are independent animals and as such their

RAIN DATE: All bookings will be provided an alternate rain date should the ACTUAL (not forecasted)
weather at Terre Bleu be so inclement as to prevent the shoot from taking place on the scheduled date
and time. Clients must contact the farm via phone 519-512-0522 and email info@terrebleu.ca on the date
in question if concerned about the possible weather conditions to learn whether or not a rain date will
be granted.
REFUNDS: Due to the significant demand for photoshoots at Terre Bleu we work to ensure as many
groups or individuals are able to access our farm as possible. To ensure we are not left with empty
dates we do not offer refunds for cancellations, late arrivals, inclement weather, no shows, nor for lack
of lavender bloom. We do however understand everyones perception of beauty and personal
expectations are different, therefore we will provide a partial refund for half the amount paid if when
you arrive at the farm you decide you do not like the current natural state of the bloom or the degree of
harvest, and would rather not proceed with your shoot as planned. However if you decide to go ahead
with your shoot, we do offer a great location to capture amazing pictures of your choosing at anytime
with or without lavender bloom and as such the full fee stands.
LAVENDER BLOOM GUARANTEE: Mother nature controls the blooming cycle of our flowers (Usually
from very late June till Mid August) and as such we make no promises or set any expectations as to the
state of the bloom at the time of your shoot. In addition we are a working farm and as such blooms may
be harvested prior to your shooting date. However given everyones perception of beauty and personal
expectations are different, we will provide a partial refund for half of the amount paid if when you arrive
at the farm you decide you do not like the current natural state of the bloom or the degree of harvest,
and would rather not proceed with your shoot as planned. However if you decide to go ahead with your
shoot we do offer a great location to capture amazing pictures of your choosing at anytime with or
without lavender bloom and as such the full fee stands.
FIRM TIME LIMITS: Due to the significant number of photoshoots booked at Terre Bleu each season, our
need to complete our regular farm work and to ensure all clients are treated fairly, your scheduled time
will be strictly enforced. Rental times are inclusive of set up and take down. We cannot make exceptions
for late arrivals or for photographers and clients that failed to use their time effectively. Sessions going
over the agreed upon time by 10 minutes or more will be charged 150$ + tax per half hour over.
HORSE MODELS: must be booked and paid for in advance and will occur at the start of your
scheduled session (for the first 30 minutes). Horses are groomed prior to your scheduled shoot and
are accompanied by an experienced handler. Clients may not sit on the horses and any improper
treatment of the horse will result in the end of the session immediately. Please ensure you arrive on
time as your 30 minutes session must occur at the start of your scheduled shoot. Failure to do so may
result in the loss of your horse model and handler. Refunds for horse models will not be accommodated
due to late arrivals.

USE OF DRONES: Drone operation at Terre Bleu is strictly prohibited without prior consent from
management. Drones flown in Canada are enforced by Transport Canada and the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police (RCMP). There are serious penalties, for those who break the rules. Individuals and
corporations can face fines up to $3000 or jail time for:
• putting aircraft and people at risk
• flying without a drone pilot certificate
• flying unmarked or unregistered drones

Page 4 of 6IN-HOUSE SESSION - RETOUCHING: All images will be lightly edited and receive basic colour
adjustments. Terre Bleu stands by keeping photos in their most natural state. Heavy retouching will not
be done on the images. For example, wrinkles will not be taken out or reduced, hair flyaways will not be
removed and removing certain parts of the photo are examples of heavy retouching and will not be
completed on photos taken during session. Given the nature of our farm, we cannot guarantee that
other people will not be in the background of the images. The photographers will strive to do their best
in order to use alternate camera angles and positions to minimize the amount of people that could
appear in the background of your session’s images. Terre Bleu reserves the right to keep all RAW files
from the photo session. Clients will only receive edited high res JPEGS and requesting RAW files will not
be an option.
IN-HOUSE SESSION - ARTISTIC SELECTION: Many images are captured during the session. Afterwards,
each image is put through a careful selection process. You will see only the images that meet the high
standards of the photographer. Images with eyes closed, unflattering poses and duplicated images are
removed permanently after the photographer completes this selection process. The selection process is
entirely the right of the photographer and part of the custom portrait process.
IN-HOUSE SESSION - EXCLUSIVE PHOTOGRAPHER: Please do not bring your own camera, camcorder or
any other recording devices to your session. Personal cameras get in the way of the working
photographer. If this situation occurs, the photographer reserves the right to terminate the session. If
your session is terminated in this way, there will be no refund given.

PERSONAL/PORTRAITURE PHOTOGRAPHY & IN-HOUSE SESSION PHOTOGRAPHY:
Please visit the link here to book your photography permit for your personal/portraiture photography or
in-house session photography session.
Until a payment is received your desired date is still available for others to book instead. Your payment
receipt is your confirmation of your booking. We will send a reminder email a few days before your
scheduled photoshoot. Please note that due to the overwhelming demand for photo shoots and the
limited number of time slots available, we strongly recommend booking your dates as soon as possible
to avoid disappointment.
