Reading the comments, which of course I entirely agree with,
I am left with a whole series of domande e dubbi. Not about
you and your Presidency, but about your legacy and how on
earth I am going to be able to live up to it!
The President’s role is not an easy one. How does one handle
the challange of juggling the interests of the membership, the
Chamber and your own life all at once? (Please don’t answer
that, let’s assume it is rhetorical and I will find out for myself).
This can hardly have been more difficult in our lifetimes than
in the last two years. We have all had to face challenges
that few, if any, of us could have imagined not that long ago.
I, and it is clear from the messages, your many fans, have been
impressed by the leadership, dedication and drive that you
have shown. You have succeeded in protecting the Chamber
and putting it in the best possible position to emerge from
these struggles stronger than ever and ready to embrace the
future. Thank you.
