4Paving calculations
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR AREA
Step one is knowing the exact dimensions of the area you want to pave. Using a tape measure and string measure out your area.
We recommend doing this mutliple times to ensure you have an accurate measurement. Once you have measured your area,
you can start to draw up your plan.
The quantity of the materials needed for the paving job depends upon the total area to be paved. This can be determined from
measurements taken off the plan or if the area to be paved has been pegged out on site. The area is simply calculated by measuring
the width and length of the area to be paved.

HOW MANY PAVERS WILL I NEED?
Midland Brick recommend calculating the square metre area to be covered and adding 5% to allow for cuts and wastage. To calculate this:
Area to be paved (m2) x 1.05 (allows for 5% wastage) = total m2 of pavers required

All prices shown will be charged at the ruling rate on date of Sizing. Product supplied is within the dimensional tolerances
delivery. Delivery charges are not included. specified in Australia/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4455. For

Safety Information. We have safety information sheets providing
details on brick cutting, cleaning, safe storage and movement of Sizes and number per square metre are nominal only and subject
