Quinn Medical Day Spa in Overland Park is a
full-service medical day spa offering head-to-toe,

What is a medical spa?
A medical spa is a cross between a medical clinic and a
traditional day spa. Because our medical spa is associated
with Quinn Plastic Surgery and is overseen by Dr. John
Michael Quinn, we are able to treat conditions on the face
and body that cannot be treated by traditional aestheticians.
We offer a full range of services including injectables,
microdermabrasion, and photo facial rejuvenation, in
addition to body enhancement treatments designed to
tighten skin and destroy fat cells.

Injectable treatments offer rejuvenation and youthfulness
with minimal downtime and no surgery. Additionally,
injectable treatments are fast — you will be in and out of our
office and back to your regular
activities almost immediately.

Botox Cosmetic Injections
If you suffer from moderate to severe frown lines,
Botox may be the best injectable for you. Botox is FDA
approved to treat frown lines and crow’s feet, and is the
most popular injectable on the market today.
Botox primarily treats wrinkles caused by overactive facial
muscles that pull at the skin, causing unsightly lines and
furrows. Botox injections help relax the muscles that have
contracted and caused the wrinkles, resulting in softened,
smoother skin. Botox requires no anesthesia, takes as little
as 15 minutes, and has
no associated downtime.
Results are typically
visible within a few days,
and can last up to four
months.

Juvederm XC Filler
Juvederm XC Filler treats facial wrinkles and folds resulting
from the loss of structure and volume caused by
diminishing amounts of hyaluronic acid, a natural and
important component of the skin that provides a
youthful and healthy appearance. As hyaluronic acid is
depleted through natural aging, excess sunlight exposure,
and other factors, the skin loses its natural fullness.
Juvederm XC Filler is gel based and contains lidocaine, a
common anesthetic, in order to minimize discomfort during
and after treatment. Results are immediately visible and can
last up to a year. Juvederm XC has virtually no downtime but
possible side effects may include minor redness, swelling,
tenderness, bruising, or itching.

Radiesse
Radiesse is a gel-based injectable that is calcium rich and
designed to stimulate the growth of natural collagen,
diminishing the signs of aging by creating a smoother, more
youthful appearance. The results of Radiesse treatment
are immediate and can last for several months. In fact,
because Radiesse stimulates natural collagen growth, results
can be long lasting. Treatment takes about 30 minutes,
and most patients return to their daily routine immediately.
Possible side effects include localized redness, swelling,
tenderness, bruising, or itching.
Belotero Balance
Belotero Balance is a cohesive gel that replaces hyaluronic
acid lost through the natural aging process. The result is
plumper, smoother, and softer facial features. Results with
Belotero Balance are immediate.

Xeomin
Xeomin is the newest FDA-approved treatment for frown
lines, forehead furrows, and crow’s feet. The main
ingredient is the same as Botox, but Xeomin contains no
additives. Xeomin also decreases overly animated muscle
action of the eyebrows. The overall results are a fresher,
brighter appearance. If you have ever been told that you
look tired or angry when you aren’t, Xeomin
may be the ideal treatment for you.
For long-term results, Xeomin
treatments will need to be
repeated every three to six
months. Side effects are
typically mild, usually resolve
on their own, and most often
are reported as light bruising
and numbness in the treated

HydraFacialMD™
HydraFacialMD is a skin resurfacing procedure that uses
Vortex-Fusing™ antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid
in order to treat the skin at multiple levels. HydraFacialMD
offers cleansing, exfoliation, extraction of toxins, and
hydration. This treatment is non-invasive, offers immediate
results, and involves little to no downtime or discomfort. In
addition to immediate results, HydraFacialMD soothes as
it moisturizes, and refreshes the skin without irritation. The
overall effect is smoother, clearer, cleaner skin.
HydraFacialMD is specifically formulated to treat skin tissue

BBL Photo Facial Rejuvenation
Broad Band Light (BBL) Photo Facial Rejuventation is a
skin treatment and correction option that can be tailored
to treat a number of skin imperfections and damage. Each
treatment with BBL Photo Facial Rejuvenation typically takes
less than 30 minutes. Best results are usually seen after five
treatments spaced at three week intervals. The results are
noticeable right away and include smoother, healthier, and
more youthful skin. With continued treatments, sun spots
and other skin flaws will continue to fade. BBL Photo Facial
Rejuvenation treats birthmarks, enlarged pores, redness,
freckles, acne, visible veins, broken capillaries, and sun
damage.
BBL Photo Facial Rejuvenation involves
minimal recovery time. Immediately
after treatment, redness similar to
a mild sunburn may appear, but can
be covered by makeup until it fades.

Laser hair reduction
Laser hair reduction will diminish unwanted hair, although

permanent results. The final result will reduce the need for
shaving or waxing. Laser hair reduction may be used to treat

Laser hair reduction uses the same
Broad Band Light (BBL) technology
as BBL Photo Facial Rejuventation,
penetrating the skin to target the
hair bulb with only mild discomfort
similar to the sensation of a rubber
band snapping against the skin.
The number of treatments required will depend on factors
such as the area being treated, and the quality and type of
hair. Unwanted hair on areas such as the face, legs, arms,
underarms, back, and bikini line may be treated, and there
is generally no down time involved. Most patients require
more than one treatment for permanent results, and some

Quinn Medical Skin Care line offers skin rejuvenation, repair,

Anti-redness Cleanser —
an extra-gentle cleanser to
treat skin that is sensitive
and prone to redness. This
cleanser removes excess oils
without drying the skin and
is 100% fragrance free.
Exfoliating Foaming
Cleanser — removes excess
oils without excessively
drying the skin, and contains
lactic and salicylic acids
to aid in the exfoliating
process. It is ideal for normal
to oily skin.
GLOSS Antioxidant
and Retexture Cream
— contains brighteners,
retinoids, and broad
spectrum antioxidants to
retexture and brighten the skin. This cream repairs uneven

Thermage Skin Tightening
Thermage Skin Tightening encourages new collagen growth
and remodeling of existing collagen. Thermage offers
treatment for the natural breakdown of collagen, which leads
to wrinkles and sagging skin. Over time, patients will see a
healthier, smoother, and more youthful appearance, as well
as a reduction in wrinkling and and tightening of the skin.
Thermage may be used to treat a number of body parts,
including the face, arms, abdomen, hands, and jaw.
Thermage uses heat and radio
frequency technology through a
hand wand, which is passed over
the treatment area, penetrating
deep into the layers of the skin.
Although Thermage uses heat and
radio frequency, it has cooling
technology to protect the surface
of the skin during treatment. A
single treatment takes from one to
two hours, depending on the size
of the area being treated.
Although results are visible immediately, the full effects
will be visible after several months as collagen rebuilds
and renews itself. The final results also will last for several
months. Side effects are very rare and may include mild
swelling, redness, numbness, or pigmentation changes.

Liposonix® (Non-invasive fat reduction)
Quinn Medical Day Spa was the first in Kansas City to offer
Liposonix, a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment option
for fat reduction through high-intensity, focused ultrasound
energy. Liposonix is precisely targeted to permanently
destroy fat cells, which are eliminated from the body as part
of the natural healing process. A single treatment of the
abdomen or love handles takes approximately one hour
with an average size reduction of one full inch, equating to
approximately one full dress or pant size. Final results are
typically achieved about 8 to 12 weeks after treatment.
Liposonix is ideal for those
