A Message from the Executive Director
Whether you are one of our long-time dedicated corporate partners or discovering Reaching Out
MBA for the first time, I’d like to welcome you to the start of what will be a very exciting year for
ROMBA.

As many of you know, last year our 501(c)3 organization went through a strategic planning process
that reaffirmed our mission & vision.

    Through its programming, anchored by its annual conference, Reaching Out MBA:
    • Educates students about the opportunities and challenges of being an LGBT MBA
       student and business leader, how to capitalize on those opportunities, and how to
       overcome those challenges.
    • Inspires and enables LGBT MBA students to be leaders in their careers and in society.
    • Builds connections among LGBT MBA students.

This year we will continue to fulfill that mission with the 17th Annual Reaching Out LGBT MBA
Conference, which remains the premier venue for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender graduate
business school students seeking to network and support LGBT equality in the business world.
During this three-day event, with content created by current students, attendees will experience
an impressive lineup of industry speakers, panels and workshops representing a wide array of
industries.

We will also begin to expand the content we offer LGBT MBAs throughout the year with the
introduction of specialized workshops, webinars, industry treks and other events that will be
announced throughout the year. I welcome any thoughts or suggestions of content as we begin this
process.

As we start this pivotal year, we hope you join us. Our corporate partner’s participation, ideas and

when perviously held in 2010 & 2012.

ROMBA Conference Scholarship Essay
As a means to help students attend the annual conference, Reaching Out MBA will hold an essay contest that will grant complimentary
registrations and hotel stays to the conference and for selected recipients.

This is the second breakfast of the conference and the start to an eventful day focused on self-development. The sponsor has the opportunity to

Town Hall Underwriter
This event is one of the more popular and inspirational sessions at the conference in which 90 minutes are devoted to a hot topic in the LGBT

Student teams will be assigned a well-known start-up to value & present, with a winning team receiving scholarships. The event includes a
