About Us                    Johns Creek Recreation and Parks enriches the quality of life
                            for the Johns Creek community by providing recreational,
                            educational and wellness programs within facilities, parks, and
                            natural open spaces.

                            Johns Creek is committed to enhancing the well being of its
                            residents and visitors through comprehensive recreation and
                            park programs, facilities, and services.

                            The Recreation & Parks Division maintains over 400 acres of
                            parkland and nature preserves. In addition to the city’s four
                            main parks, the city is working to add two new pocket parks, one
                            new neighborhood park, and two new large parks. Programming
                            within the parks includes activities and sports for youth and
                            people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Founders Day Parade
The Johns Creek Founders Day Parade is a kick-off to the North Fulton holiday season.
Some of the parade highlights include musical groups, local neighborhoods, schools,
community organizations, civic clubs, and businesses.

Clubhouse Fitness
The Johns Creek Recreation & Parks
Division offers adult fitness classes to
help you get in shape, stay energized, and
maintain a healthy lifestyle.

All classes are held at the Newtown
Community Clubhouse located at
Newtown Park and are taught by certified
instructors. All fitness levels are welcome.
Space is limited; please register early.
Attendees must be age 16 or older at the
time of the class. For a detailed schedule,

Pickleball Courts
Come check out one of the fastest
growing sports in the nation….Pickleball!
Pickleball is played on a small court and is
a combination of tennis, badminton, and
ping-pong. Four Pickleball courts with
paddles and balls are located next to the
tennis courts at Newtown Park and are
available on a first come-first served basis.

     Recreation

            The Johns Creek Recreation & Parks Division offers programs
            and events to enrich the lives of people with disabilities.
            Our Adaptive Recreation Programs & Events are designed to
            expose participants to new experiences; enhance self-esteem,
            self-confidence, and independence; and promote community
