Dear Friend,
The Scouts Honor Golf Classic Committee is proud to host the 31st annual Tournament on
March 18, 2019. Spend the afternoon at the prestigious Old Palm Golf Club with some of
Palm Beach County’s industry leaders. A fun, casual reception and silent auction will cap off
the day. This event continues to impress its participants year after year as they golf for a
cause: giving the opportunity of Scouting to all youth throughout Gulf Stream Council’s 7
counties.
Scouting is beneficial to the lives of youth and our community as a whole. Many activities in
which the Scouts engage include philanthropic projects to help others. Through their
projects, young people develop leadership and teamwork skills, self-confidence, healthy
lifestyles, benevolence, and social awareness. Not only do the programs reinforce the
positive development cultivated in many of the youth’s homes, but they also bring
opportunity to at-risk youth.
We invite you to join the tournament and consider participating at one of the sponsorship
levels outlined on the next page. Your support of the Scouts Honor Golf Classic will provide
the resources needed to continue the youth-serving programs of the Gulf Stream Council. It’s
the youth that will be our future leaders— let’s guide them in the right direction!

Meet Lucien La Grange. Luc has a love for
animals, and wanted to make a better place for
visitors and volunteers at Big Dog Rescue Ranch.
The Ranch has a large property with a central
lake, but had nowhere for visitors and volunteers
to sit when they were out with the dogs. Luc
gathered 25 people to help him build benches to
put around the lake of the Ranch. His
contributions provided several places to take
some time and relax while getting to know a
hopeful new family member.
