Classes

• Our School is sub-divided into 3 sections – Junior, Middle &
      Senior.
• Students are usually moved from one class to the next on the basis
of age. e.g. If a vacancy in Middle 1 arises, then the eldest student
in Junior 4 shall move up to Middle 1 at the discretion of the Princi-
      pal.
• In some cases a student may ‘skip’ a class, again usually depending
      on age.
• As a rule most changes take place in September, but occasionally a
change may occur at other times.
• Since we do not have a yearly intake of young children in the 5 – 8
year category, children in the Junior school do not automatically
      transfer class each year.

School Day

Class begins at 9.20 a.m. and finishes at 2.40 p.m.

Transport

• Transport to and from school is a free service provided for students
living a distance from the school.
• It is operated by Bus Eireann and all enquiries regarding this ser-
vice should be directed to Bus Eireann or the Dept. of Education
         and Skills
• Neither the Board of Management nor the Principal have any
function in the provision of this Transport Service, other than re-
questing the service for students, on first entry into the school
• Queries relating to School Transport should be referred to School
Transport, Bus Eireann, Waterford. Tel: 051 73401.

smooth and safe running of that class.
Our primary concern is to make the school a safe and happy environ-
ment in which teachers and students can work together in peace.

   tolerated.

School Books/Supplies

• Our Lady of Fatima School does not ask parents to provide all their
son’s/daughter’s books. We try to cover most of the cost ourselves.
• We do ask that some contribution is given.
• The cost this year is as follows:

 One student €40 per year.
 Two students from one family €35 each.
 Three or more students from the same family €30 each.
 The Health & Safety of all students needs to be safe guarded
            in and out of school.
 School Insurance is a necessity and only €5 for the whole
            year.
 Students who have not paid may not take part in any activities
            outside of school.
 We would prefer all monies would reach us as soon as
possible but certainly by Halloween at the latest.
