OPERATING REPORT FOR ST. PETER PARISH
FROM 7/01/2017 to 6/30/2018
The annual report for St. Peter Parish will be sent to the
Archdiocesan Office on Friday September 28, 2018.
The fiscal year (July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018) ended with the Parish having an
operating income surplus of $83,309. This amount was added to the assets of St.
Peter Parish as of June 30, 2018 (in total, approximately $855,000), which will be
transferred to the newly formed parish of Our Lady of the Lakes and used
specifically for the benefit of the St. Peter location.
A comparison between this year and last year’s report is as follows:
REVENUE – Total revenue was down by $44,250. Most of this decline was the result
of lower Sunday, Holy Day, and Easter collections (-$21,467) and lower special
donations to the Church (-$29,130). However, parishioners again responded
generously to the monthly Building Maintenance and Repair collection (up $6,973
from last year).
EXPENSES – Expenses were down $59,773 from last year, primarily as a result of not
having to cover the $35,720 of school unemployment compensation costs of last year.
Day to day expenses related solely to the operation of the Church and Rectory
remained about the same as last year except for a drop in maintenance and repairs
while we awaited the change in pastor leadership.
During this spring, repairs were made to plastering and repainting of the northwest
exit side wall, cleaning the bell tower, repairing the bells and installing a safety
railing in the choir loft. As always, there are further repairs that need to be made to
the Parish buildings and parking areas during this fiscal year (18 - 19). In the next
month or so, further information will be provided about these projects and how we can
best utilize the St. Peter buildings.
We thank you for your sacrifice and generosity during the past fiscal year and
hope that you will continue to support the new Parish—Our Lady of the Lakes.

10:30 am The National Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux. The National Shrine Museum of St.
Therese is situated on the Carmelite Campus in Darien, Illinois.
11:30 am Mass at the Shrine
12:30 pm Lunch at the Carmelite Spiritual Center.
1:45 pm St. James at Sag Bridge-St. James cemetery and grounds, as well as the old stone
church, have an incredible history that dates back to 1673!
The cost of the Pilgrimage which includes coach bus transport, snacks, tours, lunch, tips for bus
driver and tour guide, will be $75 per person.
