Each artist’s studio or shared venue has a number
that corresponds to a colour-coded map at the
back of the brochure.
Use this booklet to plan your route. Be sure to visit individual artists in 10-1:30 1:30-5
their own surroundings as well as those in shared venues. Look for the red 3rd 3rd
Art Trail signs as you near your destination and remember to check car 4th 4th

We are pleased to offer another opportunity for you to view Artists’ details are in
and buy the work of local artists and makers. The trail presents the booklet for future

artists participating in the Art Trail. Please come along as
visitors are invited to vote for their favourite piece. The artist
with the most votes is awarded a prize!
Spectacular Science
An exhibition of art work by local children in Thornbury
Library from 26th April to 13th May. The Library is open on
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9.30am
to 5.30pm and open on Saturdays from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The Severn Vale Art Trail, Thornbury Eisteddfod
and Thornbury Arts Festival work together under
the umbrella of the Thornbury Arts Festival Trust.
The Arts Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in
2019 with an exciting programme running from Friday
26 April to Saturday 4 May and featuring Miles Jupp
on the Opening Night, followed by a weekend of
local performers including Rock Pipes and a special
Anniversary Concert of past and present Eisteddfod
entrants to mark the 30th anniversary of the Eisteddfod.
The rest of the week does not disappoint with an
eclectic mix of talks from well-known personalities.
Rev Richard Coles, Kate Humble and David Starkey,
music from folk group Show of Hands, jazz from
the Temperance 7 and, to close the Festival week,
a performance by Liza Pulman who is one-third of
the group Fascinating Aida, accompanied by pianist,
Joseph Atkins. Other events include a talk from Author,
Jane Shemilt, an art demonstration by Michael Long
and five lunchtime events to suit all tastes!
