THE TRADITION BEGAN…
I
n 1984, a college basketball coach created an opportunity for a group of twelve high school basketball players to com-
pete against international competition in Europe. The opportunity for young players from a regional area to play in an
international tournament was never previously attempted. The squad of twelve represented every skill level imagin-
able. This group of players from the heartland of a central Illinois conference developed a chemistry that awarded them
the championship of the Ireland Emerald Cup Basketball Tournament. The Coach was current CEO Rik Seymour and that
tour experience formed the foundation of the company, 365 Sports.
Seymour resigned from college basketball in 1991 and turned his complete focus toward developing the leaders of
tomorrow by working with the youth of today. Seymour is well respected throughout the international sports fraternity,
having dedicated over thirty years to uniting American Youth with the Young People from all over the World. He has had
an impact on over 50,000 young athletes being
provided with a life-changing international sport

the USA Today/Ernst and Young as a Finalist for
Entrepreneur of the Year and was recognized in
1997 and 1998 as leading one of the 15 fastest
growing companies in North Carolina.
365 Sports is just one of the companies Seymour
operates that trains young athletes. Through
Hoops City U, a 15,000 square foot facility in
Durham, North Carolina, training classes, camps
and club programs are offered to boys and girls
ages 4-18.

For students and their parents, it is truly a “once in a
lifetime experience.” Although the primary focus of all
our international tours is the actual educational experi-
ence, every program we administer does place a strong
emphasis on providing each participant with a challenge
to improve their leadership and athletic skills. With this
as the foundation, we feel the future and sanctity of our
country lies with the students of today. There is no text-
book or class that can teach an understanding between
two people of different nations, cultures, languages and
customs better than what you will experience firsthand
on a 365 Sports International Tour. International athletic
competition is the perfect way in which to experience the
sharing of knowledge between people of different na-
tionalities. Whether it’s Europe, China, Italy, Sweden, the
Bahamas or Hawaii in the United States, your adventure
will be exciting and memorable.
Our family of participants was established on personal
service. 365 Sports consists of employees, tour guides
and regional representatives, all with comprehensive
educational, athletic and travel experience. We maintain

Representing the USA in an international tournament is
an honor not afforded to every athlete. Imagine standing
for the National Anthem, wearing the red, white and blue
uniform with USA emblazoned across the front, anticipating
spirited competition from like-minded athletes from another
country! It just doesn’t get any better than that! Our past
delegations have elevated their game through this experi-
ence and now it’s your turn.
You now have the opportunity-of-a-lifetime, to join with
players from other parts of the United States on one of our
All-Star teams to compete in an international tournament that

HOW WAS I SELECTED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY?
An opportunity to represent America with 365 Sports is a privilege and our International Tournament Programs are not
open to the public, nor advertised. You must be invited for this once in a lifetime experience. 365 Sports uses several
avenues to identify the student athletes we invite to join our programs. Some of the recruitment methods are:
RESEARCH TEAM We have a dedicated research team of analysts who utilize local and national recruiting
websites, newspapers, school sites, and more to identify the top athletes on teams across
the country.
RECRUITING SERVICES We work with various recruiting organizations that provide rankings and assessments for
thousands of players throughout the United States. Athletes that are being monitored by
various recruiting services may be invited, as they clearly would be among the elite.
RELATIONSHIPS Having been in the industry for over 30 years, we have relationships with coaches, tourna-
ment directors, and administrators across the country who refer athletes to us.
COACH REFERRALS Many of our athletes are referred to us by their coaches, or opposing coaches, who feel
these athletes may benefit from our programs.
You must qualify based on your merit to receive this opportunity. Athletes that are selected are invited to attend the
Athlete Information Webinar, where players and parents are given all the information regarding the international tour of
their interest.
Individual athletes who successfully meet the selection criteria and accept the invitation to travel with 365 Sports will be
placed on a team with other Athletes from around the USA.

The Sport Tour Industry has grown tremendously and annually involves
thousands of athletes. Since 1984 we are very proud to be one of the pioneers
in this extremely challenging tour program. Our sports tours are designed
with the athlete as the focus. Our Program Services Department travels the

Our delegation will depart for Hawaii for 7 amazing
nights in the tropical paradise of Maui! When not
competing, players will spend time experiencing the
very best Maui has to offer. After arriving and being

Resort, snorkeling at Maui’s Molokini Crater, and
swimming with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles at Turtle Town. You will also be treated to a traditional Hawaiian Luau, and

You will be testing your talents against players from the Hawaiian Islands and the mainland as you work your way

OUR STAFF AND COACHES ARE TRAINED
We understand this may be the first international trip for your child and there may be a little apprehension regarding this
tour. We want you to know that after decades of shepherding thousands of athletes around the globe, we empathize
with you. We take the safety of our athletes seriously, and we, and our international partners at every destination, are
obsessed with being perfect in the area of safety. The training of our coaches and other staff members emphasizes
safety protocols and procedures that leave nothing to chance.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Our travel leaders inspect restaurants, hotels and competition venues for safety and security, always vigilant so our
group has safe access. We heed the advice of our local guides and bus drivers, always avoiding questionable neighbor-
hoods, and we equip our leaders with international cell phones and emergency numbers. And, our coaches are always
coaching! And not just in their sport…but always teaching the correct and safe way to move about, whether getting
through airport security, navigating customs and immigration, hotel check-ins and check-outs, when shopping, or just
enjoying a sight-seeing tour.
So, with these safety protocols in place and with the expertise of our well-trained staff, our travel party can relax and
enjoy the cultural exchanges and competitions they trained for. And for additional peace of mind, 365 Sports maintains
a 24-hour emergency response team so families can quickly reach their son or daughter whenever and wherever in the
event of a family emergency back home. Our goal is a stress-free experience and we train to make that a reality!
