WHAT IS THE
PROGRAM?
The summer camp in Canada program is a way to spend a
summer season living and working at an amazing camp in
    Canada.

Summer camp is a big part of Canadian culture and every
year it’s a tradition for thousands of kids around the country
to go spend 8 weeks there.

There are hundreds of these camps across North America
and the directors love to hire international staff to bring in
new culture, diversity and skills for the summer.

WHAT DO WE DO?
Our Smaller Earth programs are designed to bridge the gap
between working travel and adventure, making your life
easier to find a summer camp job in Canada. What we’re
here to do is help you with everything from the minute
you apply to the moment you fly back from Canada. This
includes landing you a dream job with one of our summer
camp employers and to assist you with flights, travel and
application paperwork. We even go the extra mile to help
you secure arrival accommodation, book your airport
transfers, provide insurance and everything else inbetween.

MEET LIAM
Liam is one of the Smaller
     Earth’s adventurers. He’s
     been, seen and done
it all when it comes to
     travelling North America. We
     interviewed him to find out
     more about his adventures.

“There are a lot of good people in
 the world, especially in Canada”

Why would you choose to go to Canada?

Looking back on my own travels, I just think Canada is
the most beautiful, incredible country. I spent time there
and in America and people always seem to tie the two
together, but for me they are nothing alike. Canada 100%
has a more laidback lifestyle and the sense of adventure
and the activities on offer in Canada are just on the next
level, for me. Plus, it really gives you a choice; it is home to
some of the most amazing locations. Depending on what
time of year it is, the weather is perfect too, you’ve got the
snow if you like to ski, you’ve got the heat if you like to be
outdoors in shorts and t-shirt, and it is just such a friendly
place. It has everything and that is why I would pick it.

You’ve obviously been yourself, what is your
 Canadian story?

I was actually born on the West Coast of Canada and
my earliest memories are from Canada. Although we

APPLICATION
     PROCESS
The summer camp in Canada program is designed to make
the process of working in Canada far easier for YOU.

Your first step to start the journey is to simply begin an online
application via our Smaller Earth website. At this stage we
need to know basic information such as your background,
     experience and availability.

The next step is to have a quick 10 minute Welcome Call with
our Smaller Earth team. The Welcome Call is a short informal
call so we can get to know you more and find out your
preferences. After the call you’ll need to pay the $99 Deposit
and have a Skype screening interview with our team.

Once your interview is complete and you’re accepted onto
the program you’ll have to complete the partner form,
references and pay the first instalment of your fees, $250. (If
for some reason you’re not accepted onto the program you
will receive a refund of your deposit).

Next, you will be connected with the placement team in
Canada for your second interview. Once you’ve had your
second interview with NYQuest you will become visible for
     Camp Directors.

We will then set up your camp director interviews. Once
your interviews with camp directors are complete you will be
asked to complete the final payment of $350.

Once the payments and employer contracts are completed
you will be able to organise your flights through our partner,
     Student Flights.

After all this is done we’ll organise your arrival
     accommodation and onwards travel!
