PRACTICAL
EXPERIENCE
SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy
student Brianna is grateful for making the
decision to start her career pathway when
she enrolled in the TAFE at School program
when she was in Year 10.

“This experience allowed me to learn
the basic knowledge and gave me an
understanding in the life of a beautician.
After I graduated from school I knew what I
wanted to do. I was confident and had the
assurance of being a step ahead of the other
students who hadn’t done a TAFE at School
program.”

“I was more prepared, organised and knew
what to expect from my teachers and I’d
completed a few of the relevant diploma
units, giving me a credit in the next phase
of my studying goals. It also reassured my
parents in what I want to do with my life.”
