Through the Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic Makeup brand name, the quality and
employability of our graduates is well known and highly respected in the industry. The
Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics is the entry level qualification to the makeup industry that

We have lots of exciting changes happening at USQ this year. The front façade of our USQ campus is under
refurbishment. The Quad entry renovations will create a defined welcoming entrance to the campus.
Construction of the new Aviation precinct at the Toowoomba campus is also well underway as we
welcome students in the program for Semester 1 this year. We have many more refurbishment
announcements to make throughout the year so stay tuned.

This fully funded Horse Husbandry Assistant Course is perfect if you are currently enrolled in a

Students who complete this course can receive 4 QCE credits

Learn about the care, health and welfare of horses including a higher level of handling horses and

School Support
Schools play an important role in the success of a school-based
Traineeship. We encourage schools to support the progress of
their students and appreciate their guidance in altering a
student’s timetable to support the student’s chosen learning
pathway.

How Do I Get Started?
The first step is to speak with your VET Manager, parent and
school. If everyone is happy to proceed, your VET Manager will
complete an Expression of Interest form and submit it to the
Collins Traineeship Support Team. Arrangements will then be
made for all parties to attend a sign up, where the nominated
Training Plan and Training Contact will be completed. Your RTO
representative will then schedule your training at periodic
intervals.

WHAT’S A RESUME – AND WHY HAVE ONE?
Your resume (sometimes called a CV or curriculum vitae) is a marketing tool – a way to sell
yourself. It has one main purpose: to win you a job interview. A good resume is crucial when
applying for a new job - it’s your first chance to really impress what could potentially be your new
employer!

It should summarise the following:
     Education
     Skills
     Personal strengths
     Achievements
     Interests
Based upon the strength of information in your resume, you will either be selected for an interview
or passed over for another candidate.

Your resume is the only step in job hunting in which you have total power. Remember this is your
personal marketing document, so make sure you stand out. Any jobseeker in today's job market
is up against very strong competition.

       theory based assessments and demonstrating skills through competency based assessments to
       the best of your ability
      Comply with registration relevant to your field of work, in particular the Further Education and

We are excited to let you know that TAFE Queensland are now offering Grade 11 and 12
students Certificate III in Community Dance, Theatre and Events (CUA30213).

This Southbank based Certificate III offers an introduction to the art and craft of acting and
performance. The program delivers energetic, detailed and focused training in acting, body
and voice skills. Students also can explore the business of starting an acting and performance
career in Australia. The course provides students with a sound base from which to develop their
performance interests and further training. Students will study with industry experts in a
distinctive and lively learning and training environment that culminates in a public performance
project, and will be a part of a thriving, unique educational and creative community. This
qualification is designed to cover a broad range of knowledge and skills that apply to the
Performing Arts industry.

The cost of the course is $3,250 and is delivered over 1 year. Upon completion, students can
choose to study the Diploma of Screen & Media (Performance), then progress to the Bachelor
of Acting Performance (with an audition) of Bachelor of Acting Drama and Production (no
audition).
