PROGRAMS
Our meeting this month will be Dawn Hall from Doves and Nichole McGivney from the Mom and
Dad Project. They will be sharing their programs with us and how our quilts assist them. They will
also answer any questions you may have.
We had a very fun time at the dyeing workshop last month. Lots of fun information. Thanks Bon-
nie for all the tips on how to come up with what we want.
The workshop: We will be making pillow cases for children with cancer. Sue has 100 cut out so it
will be quick and easy to sew them together. It’s an easy project and our “Challenge” will be to
complete all 100-what do you say? Will we see you there? Just bring your sewing machine, a
neutral colored thread and scissors, etc. It will be fun and just think of the smiles they will cre-
ate! Workshop will be at 9:30, Tuesday October 22 at the community center. Bring your own
lunch.

“Show and Tell” We thought it would be fun for everyone that wants to bring a favorite or
fun Halloween or fall wall hanging, quilt or decoration to share.

Can you believe it’s time to start thinking about the Christmas Party? Join us at the
Lodge in the Stillwell’s Restaurant - 40650 Village Dr. at 5pm on December 2. The sign-
up sheets will be at the next meeting. The cost is $20 for members with the guild paying
the balance. You will have a choice of Beef, Chicken, Salmon or Pasta. When you sign
up, pick what you would like for dinner and pay with check or cash.

                                                                   Lorraine Taylor
