Scottish Home Pony at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre 18th - 21st July 2019 - Official Schedule
6 Foreword

Welcome to the official schedule for the Harbro Scottish Home Pony 2019, now in its third year.

This year we have a really exciting programme with some of the best pony riders from across Great
Britain and Ireland coming to the Scottish National Equestrian Centre for four days of top-class pony
showjumping that aims to provide something for everyone, so all can enjoy the show.

Once again, we will be hosting a full set of Horse of the Year Show qualifiers alongside the Pony Club
Mini Major qualifier for the London International Horse Show, Olympia. The main event of the week
will, of course, be the exciting team competitions between Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.
Following on from the successful introduction of the 148cm Debut team competition last year, we will
once again be offering this team championship alongisde the 128cm, 138cm, 148cm and 10 Years &
Under team championships, increasing the opportunity for pony riders to win medals for their home
    nation.

Good luck to everyone competing at the Harbro Scottish Home Pony in 2019 and on behalf of
everyone at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre and SRUC, I look forward to welcoming you in
July and hope you enjoy being part of our show.

    Best Wishes,

    Craig Blackie

The winner of each competition will qualify for the final at Olympia (subject to eligibility) and following the
completion of the final qualifying competition 1st August a further 2 competitors will be invited to compete at
Olympia. This selection criteria, carried out by The Pony Club Chairman of Showjumping, will be based on
the results in the qualifiers and the home address of members who featured in the line-ups and is designed to
ensure that at least one member from Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England is chosen to take part
at Olympia. The selection decisions of the Chairman of Showjumping are final and no correspondence will be
entered into after the 8 successful members have been announced. In all cases where the qualified member
is unable to compete at Olympia, qualification will pass down the line to the next eligible member (eligibility
criteria will include home
address).
Any rider who has taken part in The Pony Club Mini-Major at Olympia in previous years is not eligible. In
order to qualify for the Mini-Major the rider must have paid their Pony Club membership fee in full by 28th

information).
An application form will be sent by The Pony Club to each rider provisionally selected for Olympia. Before
selection can be confirmed, this form must be completed and returned by a parent or guardian and signed by
the DC of the member’s branch. Amongst the information requested on the form will be full details and dates of
the rallies attended by the member.
There are specific dress and conduct rules which the Olympia London International Horse Show set for the
