Annual Member, Board &
Committee Meeting
Caring Communities is the leading provider of general,
professional and excess liability insurance, risk management and
education for not-for-profit, mission-based senior housing and
services providers.
For almost 20 years, Caring Communities Members have been working together to
develop the industry’s most advanced risk management frameworks and systems.
Our Members are the industry’s largest group of thought leaders focused on safety
cultures and risk management innovations to address current and future risks in the care
and housing of seniors.
Caring Communities Members enjoy a host of benefits:
Comprehensive general, professional and excess liability protection
Stable cost versus cyclical and unpredictable commercial liability insurance premiums
A Culture of Safety represented in best-in-class risk management and claims programs
Educational programs to help control and reduce the frequency and severity of claims
Member involvement and collaboration with like-minded organizations nationwide
Ownership interest and sharing in the financial results of the organization
Access to specialized property and automobile insurance programs
Caring Communities’ core product—professional, general and excess liability
insurance—was developed to afford broad coverage for maximum protection from
risks specific to continuing care providers. By being selective and nimble, Caring
Communities provides customized insurance protection to meet emerging risks facing
the senior care industry.

on our Members’ ability to keep claims low and make investments in safety. As owners,
Members receive cash dividends and own all capital and surplus. Caring Communities

dividends and equity account allocations.
Leading the industry, Caring Communities’ Continuing Care Risk Management System
provides Member organizations with knowledge and best practices to improve their

Looking to the future, Caring
Communities will continue to identify
new Members in organizations that
provide high quality care and service.
By striving together for ever-increasing

Membership with Caring Communities represents a strategic opportunity in
contrast to an annual insurance buying decision. Members are the owners and
policyholders of the company that provides their professional, general and
excess liability insurance protection. Members invest in and own their risks
exclusively with other Senior Housing Community Care and Service Providers,
all known to one another. They have common interests, commitments and
incentives, and thereby are directly rewarded by sharing the profits of the
company, based on performance, the greater share to the best performers.
Members work together in providing the safest environments and practices
for their residents, people under their care and their employees.
